I've heard Marvel retconned all of the instances of Adamantium being broken or damaged into just Secondary Adamantium.I was wondering if anyone knows when they did this,I mean is there an issue it happened in or did a writer state it.

I think this was dealt with in the Ultron Unlimited story from Avengers v3 #19-22(?). I'm not sure if this was the only time it was mentioned.

Close. It was shown in Ultron Unlimited that not all of the rebuilt Ultrons in the story itself were pure adamantium as had been alluded to in the first issue of tat story-arc. But it was confirmed in that same story that the original Ultron-6 was made of pure adamantium. Indeed, that's the very first appearance of adamantium we see. And Thor dents it with a Mjolnir strike. As far as I know, Thor's the only one to have affected pure adamantium with a physical blow.

Loki turned Bor into snow with a spell

I don't think Bor is stronger than Odin

Didnt hulk dent the original ultron with a punch before in secret wars? or was that not the original ultron?

To be fair to Bendis, Ares isn't written all that differently from how he was in his "Ares" mini-series, at least in terms of ability and power (not characterization. Seriously, he all of a sudden doesn't given a **** what his son's up to? He fought TWO pantheons to get his son back...)

i wonder how Ares reaction will be when he find out that his son has join the secret warriors

I think that Loki catching Bor off guard actually made a huge difference. It doesn't make any sense to me but it looks like that's what the author was going for.

^ Catching people off guard certainly makes a difference in other analogous instances. Dr. Doom has completely subdued Dr. Strange when he's caught him off-guard at least twice before his nerfing. And Dr. Strange was definitely more powerful than Dr. Doom.

It wasn't the original Ultron, but I do vaguely recall Hulk denting him. I definitely remember Ultron crippling Hulk, the Human Torch melted his inner circuitry with a Supernova Blast and Wasp eventually blowing him up from within. I'll check it out when I have time.

want hulk denting ultron retconded into being secondry admantium

could spiderman beat hulk in a short distance foot race

who at dc told mcduffie to stop dissing superman? vin

I'd say it's a little better than a step. Superman's casual, "yeah, I'm not going to miss," and his outright acknowledgment that it's not that hard for Clark to go at faster than light speeds is a pretty awesome respect move from Mcduffie, especially after things like getting one-shot by Dr. Light.

These "Shadow Cabinet" issues are the first time Mcduffie has written JL issues that are actually decent and somewhat worth reading. Maybe he's just excited to be writing his old character again.

Anyone else read "Dark Avengers 2?"

Apparently Bendis feels like showing off the Sentry. Jesus.

Don't give hope too soon. Still prepare for the worst by mcduffie.

Yeah, afterwards he had him display planet-moving strength and FTL capabilities. Still, like I said in the Supes respect thread, this feat is nothing to 'wow' about.

yeah. he's taken worse impacts and been ok, but it was nice of mcduffie to show him a little respect for once in JLA.

i think it represents a shift, though. it contradicts almost all of mcduffie's jla catalogue. people cant use the doctor light feat, as its been contradicted by a newer book, and so on...

Yeah, that's at least a good side of it. And it's pretty ridiculous aswell, consideringe everybody was like 'Oh noez, it's impossible!!!!" when they have GL's available. McDuffie tried to give Superman another moment to make up for the 'Wonder Woman is faster!!!' and ended up with something relativly stupid.

yup. though it IS mcduffie. he doesn't come across as someone who knows the history of most of the characters he's writing.

and i wish he'd leave kimiyo the f*ck alone... its rare enough she gets to appear, and mcduffie is the last person i wanted to go near her.

one thing about jla i loved is that jose luis seems to be establishing himself as a mainstream artist. he's a guy i've been watching for a while, and i'm realy glad he's finally getting to play with some great characters. his work tends to be better with less heavy inks, but this is his second issue, and it already looks better than his last one, imo.

Firestorm is a prime example. I mean, 'duff has a character he could do SO much with, but.... He never does. Very wasteful.

Yeah but do you really think he could do that to Odin if he caught him off-guard?

I mean if he could he probably would have at least tried it already.
