There's two different events here. First one, is in Heart of Hush. Both Batman and Hush are in the Batcave fighting, Hush steals a Batcopter, tries to fly away, and Batman jumps on, causing it to crash. Neither Hush nor Batman die though.

Second is toward the end of Batman R.I.P., Batman follows Dr. Hurt to a helicopter, hangs on to it, causes it to crash, but Batman doesn't die.

Darkseid did sorta fight Batman, and it was in this story arc where he gets sent to the past.

Thanks, I have not been able to read much in term of actual comics, so I've been relying on Wiki for information. The way it was stated made it seem like he died twice.

Why was Parallax affected by a Batrang and arrow as much as he was affected by a blast from Waverider???

Well waveriders shots a cheap shot and waverider himself is fairly powerful,by the time he got hit by the batarang and olivers arrow he was basically completelly spent powerwise,he had already ended reality put forth the raw energy to recreate it and fought the spectre off as well as all the other heroes.
