No one in their right mind would try and get money out of Jack Nicholson.

is batman with superman's powers more effective (potentially) than the real superman is with his?

i mean, he didn't acquire kryptonian physiology to my knowledge, just his power. so wouldn't that nix kryptonite as a weakness?

and the strategic mind of batman = better use of powers during a fight (of coarse with less experience, which with extrapolation and batman's mind is subject to change over time).

wtf happen to the character rom? i loved that guy.

The copyright to Rom doesn't belong to Marvel; it was a pretty shitty toy that Marvel managed to transform into an awesome space-opera, but the copyrights have reverted to their original owners.

Some aspects of his story show up: Dire Wraiths were invented for him, and you see them all over the MU; they were mentioned as recently as "Secret Invasion." The big bad Rom (note, they never refer to him actually AS "Rom" himself showed up in the awesome "Earth X," and kicked it with Cap and baby Mar-Vell; another "Space-Knight" of Galodar, infected by a virus, showed up to kick off Ultron's Reign of terror across Kree space, and there were some pretty massive red herrings that "Wraith" was going to be a disguised Rom.

It's the same situation as the also awesome Micronauts. It sucks, because not only can Marvel NOT put out new comics using those characters, that they did way more to publicize and define then their respective toy companies, but they also can't even collect in trade those issues. The only legal way to collect those runs is hunting 'em down at random shops, e-baying, or going to a con, and even then, it'd take forever.

EDIT! On a really bizarre, coincidental note, I was looking at a comics blog SECONDS after writing this, and apparently, "Dark Reign: Secret Files," mentions Rom by name, which could have just been a mistake on the part of an assistant or something; or could possibly reveal that the recent contractual deals between Hasbro and Marvel over toy-licenses may allow Rom to return...

Quick question- anyone know the release date for the second Gamain "Batman?" 688, I think. Did it come out and I just missed it? Because it seems like way more than a month since the last one.

I was wondering the same thing.

It must not be out yet,as i doubt we both missed it.

Though it doesn't have a release date yet.

Good, glad to find out that I didn't somehow miss it.

I'm not sure how much I liked the first issue, but I'm way more than willing to give Gaiman the benefit of the doubt before I make any sort of judgment on it.

The first issue left me iffy too,but yeah....it's Neil Motherf*ckin Gaiman, so i'm not worried.

out of the blue, I call BS on Neil being voted the third most liked comic writer. Alan Moore i can handle but not Grant Morrison...

all the rest of the galadorian spaceknights are still in the marvel universe, a series even came out a couple years back as the third generation.

all the other original spaceknights (minus rom) are there as well (hammerhand, astra, lightningbolt, starshine, javalin, etc)

I don't know i didn't really see him use it any better then superman does. When your up at the level theres not gonna be as big of a skill gap as is with street level. i feel he was more effective because he would go farther then superman would go to hurt some one.

Booster Gold.

At least, he used to.

Of course he uses future tech so he technically doesn't have powers.
