he is much younger than DCs Zeus though

Negative. The New Gods came before the earthly Pantheons of Gods.

Yeah, but just to clarify: The pantheons used to be "the old gods" that were referred in the first New Gods mini. When they were incorporated into the DC universe where the pantheons were quite active, they retconned it.

I'm not sure which came first and if one retconed the other but there was a Wonder Woman comic that shows a young Uxas (pre-Omega Effect) traveling around Earth during the Hellenic/Hellenistic Era in order to spread tales of the glories of the Roman Pantheon to cause a schism in the Olympians and separate them into two Pantheons, thereby weakening them.

Now that would suggest that he attained the OE much, much later than in the story where he faced Doomsday for the first time. It's not entirely out of the question that Darkseid simply traveled back in time to a time and place where he could attain whatever resource he needed from the planet that he encountered DD on. After all its been stated a number of times that Darkseid can time travel.

Key words. 😉

Darkseid possessed the OE in that story. He simply refrained from using it because "honor demanded hand to hand combat."

when DS went to earth to weaken the earth gods by splitting their essence he was still young and did not have the OE.. he was planning ahead for the future...

DS did have the OE when he got his @$$ beat by DD.. his origin stories really have no effect on the current DS it just revealed more of his past.

there was no time travel... Iirc.

i am aware of the two types: one is wakandan vibranium the other is Antarctic Vibranium...

i am assuming since Doom stole the wakandan vibranium it is that type that was targeted.

Yea, so anyone who needs Vibranium needs to snag some Antarctic, fast.

Like Nezhno, who uses it to control his ever-growing strength.

I know that. I'm saying that he walked the Earth Pre-OE several thousand years ago when he was still relatively young. New Gods earn their God names fairly early on in their lives so he couldn't have been very old at that time.

I know, it was just a precision 😄

Cool.

I'm just saying that in the scan I posted (which depicts Darkseid 245,000 years ago) he had the OE.

How do you know that he hadn't time traveled?

Have the gods of the 1st and 2nd worlds ever been shown?

In the new Xmen comics, Professor Xavier is hardly a main character, not a leader at all as Cyclops doesn't like him, and he can walk! When/how did this happen?!?

a.) Because time traveling wasn't mentioned, and b.) Everything in that story was referred to in the current-tense.

Only in panel-long flashbacks, afaik.

Xavier did bad stuff and proved to be pretty much a jerk. And the walking stuff was an on and off thing for a while, don't quite remember the last time he healed.

So then is (a) the Wonder Woman story wrong or (b) did Darkseid (pre-OE) travel 250,000 or so years into the future to Earth because he thought he might want to weaken the Olympian Gods for future schemes?

Also do you know if the whole Suli tragedy happened before or after he claimed the OE? Because it seems like the true love that he held for Suli would be impossible after claiming the OE, his mother Heggra even admitting that the reason he treated him so horribly as a child was to make him cruel, bitter, and to a large degree sociopathic, prerequisites of claiming the Omega Force.

Yet the flashbacks of him with Suli show him as OE-empowered rock monster Darkseid rather than Uxas.

Is that even 616?

Anyone know how many issues Toy Man (Japanese kid version) appearance in which comics?

He had a couple in Superman with his giant mech, Superman Batman with the rocket, and seemed to be retconned later as a robot of Toyman iirc.
