Thinking of getting into a comic series this summer, I decided on Iron Man.Is there a current Iron Man series going on or am I going to have to find some older series to get? If so, which is the best for a shitposter like me?
There is a current Iron Man series but its best to get them in the trades then the singe issues.
Tbh, if you're going to start reading an Iron Man series, I'd recommend starting at volume 4 (2005-2008). It is some of the best all around Iron Man material to date, imo. It's a perfect place for a newer reader to jump in.
If you try to dive into the current issues/volume, you'll be lost. I've kept up with it, and I'm still lost. ermm

Edit: Are volumes completely different stories? I wouldn't have to start from Volume 1 to make sense of Volume 4?

Originally posted by BarkerNo, that's why I recommended volume 4. Even though it occurs later in Tony's history, it's very easy for a newer reader to dive into, because this is when Marvel retooled Tony in many different ways--new Tony (so to speak), new armor, new powers, new enemies, etc. Essentially, this volume starts with a clean slate.

Like I said, I'm a pretty hardcore Iron Man fan, and volume 4 of his solo series is probably my all around favorite material centered around him.

Just wondering what's up with this fansite. Maestro being a Class 200? Thought that Class 100+ was the highest rating in Marvel...

The current story involving Mandarin??
i've been reading it and i'm not confused.
Originally posted by KazenjiNo, sorry. I meant volume 5 in general. Some of the stories are great, but some make no sense. And if you're a new reader next to nothing would make sense.

Volume 4 is a perfect place for a newer reader to start.
Does OA have homes? Like, is there a population? Are there Ice Cream Stores and Hot Dog Stands and Ball Games and all that such? For being in the Center of the Universe it really doesn't seem to do much.
For that matter, do the Guardians have Tooth Brushes? Or Apartments? Or do they just sit on there chairs waiting for things to happen? This has always confused me.
