Kraven's Last Hunt was good.

Yes, it was.

First story with Morlun, too.

I recall that the writer of Savage Dragon had some sort of contest regarding written essay about what fans think of Savage Dragon and ironically, no one written anything in and he talked about it.

Not sure if I'm correct or this might of been a gutter parody.

That happened in the last issue of Savage Dragon. It wasn't a parody.

SS is an arrogant son of a b*tch. He claims he is far more powerful than he is, and also claims he can do alot of things that have never been proven.

The Surfer has been very kind to the Hulk over the years. Back in TTA#93 he felt bad after knocking the Hulk out with a blast. In Hulk#250 he saved Banner's life by giving him back the power he absorbed, saving him from a deadly fall from orbit. In SS#125 he stopped draining the Hulk because it was literally killing him. There was no Banner in that Hulk. Finally, in the Planet Hulk story, the Surfer freed the slaves of Sakarr, even after a brutal suckshot from the Hulk.

The Surfer is actually quite humble most of the time, certainly moreso than the Hulk.

Cool, any chance you can post up the page (or someone else)?

thanks

I know I've seen a (pretty sure it was JLA) comic where Green Lantern and Superman move Earth. I can't remember where though - I think Green Lantern was actually surrounding Earth while Superman was hooked onto a Green Lantern construct and pulling.

Anyone know what I'm talking about or where it might have been?

Starbreaker issue. Number... 29 I think, of the last preboot run.

I haven't been able to pick up many comics but I heard the irredeemable ant man got killed protecting a child. I was curious was it acknowledged at all by the other heroes? I know he didn't have the best reputation but usually others have something to say about the dead. Curious how his death was handled in the comics.

Essential Spiderman?

I've always liked him as a character, but always found most of his comics to be directed to children...but I want to know what are Spiderman's best arcs.

Now, I don't mean which ones have the biggest impact on continuity, nor do I mean the ones with the best feats. Those are meaningless, so keeping in mind that I'm an adult reader, with adult tastes;

I want to know what are Spiderman's arcs, if any that you can put up next to the classics; Like Frank Miller's Daredevil or Wolverine, or Batman's RIP, Hush, Killing Joke, or Superman's All Star Superman, Kingdom Come, For the Man who has everything, Birthright, Superman for all seasons, etc?

Kraven's Last Hunt
Death of Captain Stacy
Death of Gwen Stacy/Green Goblin
Spider-Island
Master Planner Arc
The Other

Anybody been reading the New He-Man that came out ?

Here is a question for bat fans. A little more to answer than the typical questions in this thread, but I'd really appreciate anyone that does.

Using Batman's most prominent foes, can someone determine which of their acts was

essential reading about them and Batman (best story from an audience perspective) and

which of their crimes/stunts had the most profound affect on Bruce in-universe?
I'm thinking of Joker, Two-Face, Riddler, Scarecrow, Bane, Ra's/Talia, etc. Thoughts?

Joker, bar-none, with Jason Todd's death and his tormenting/murdering of the Gordon family. He's had the most permanent effect on Batman, notwithstanding Jason Todd's resurrection.

You could make an argument for Talia with Damian and how Leviathan is justifying Batman, Inc.

👆 I meant individually, but I'd agree with you about Joker. He's definitely the most personal of all his enemies. With Bane I don't know his essential reading, but I know breaking Bruce's back had the most effect on him.

Riddler? Two-Face (Long Halloween?), etc

DC Launches New He-Man and the Masters of the Universe Comic

First I'm hearing of it, but I was binging on the 2002 and 1990 toons recently (Yes, the New Adventures of He Man show. 😄 ). I'll have to check the comic series out..

Question about Hercules: When Zeus downgraded him to demi god status, is that where he stayed up until losing all his powers after Chaos King, or did he get bumped back up to Immortal status prior?

Wondering, because they made a big deal about how much weaker demi god Herc was in the 90's. but later on he seemed back to his old power levels of being able to compete evenly with Thor and Hulk, yet I can't find any information online about his immortal status being restored..
