Legends, Superman/Shazam: First Thunder, and Trials of Shazam are good reads after you've read the above series'.

Did Magik's soulsword (or whatever it's called) actually cut Cap's uru-enhanced shield in AvX? Maybe it went intangible or something?

^ Intangible. It didn't leave a mark on Cap's shield. It can pierce without leaving physical damage. She stabby-stabs people a lot without killing them. Kinda like Psylocke's sword. But it can be tangible also.
