Does Brainiac consider himself evil? Like by his own programming and logic is his function and whatnot seen as a morally evil deed?

He doesn't really have any real sense of morality.

My friend was talking about him just now and to paraphrase it went something like:

"Well who are we to say that Brainiac is evil, he's only doing what he was created for, absorbing knowledge, deleting and getting rid of what's not needed, improving and whatnot. He's only following his logic and function, how is it any different from man who is designed to procreate, grow and spread out."

That's a pretty all right definition.

Brainiac's only real emotion that he could be accused of is greed, but generally he's just an ******* AI that wants to control and assimilate.

Like the Borg.

Brainiac has also displayed "human" emotions such as anger and wanting revenge, too, hasn't it?

On occasion, yeah. It's just rare.

I think Brainiac is just a true believer in his cause/programming. In that case morals, good/evil have no consequence.

Part of me feels like he just needs a friend, like a little White girl with blonde pigtails and a pink dress to bring him a single flower while in the midst of doing his thing. Maybe he'll understand the preciousness of all life everywhere.

He's been shown (preboot) moving at 1,000 knots. He was also able to leap out of the water at a speed of about 10,000 feet per second.

While a maximum has never been shown, I think it's safe to say that he could cross entire oceans in a matter of minutes. He's supposed to be the fastest thing underwater (bar maybe Mera).

Darkseid has a daughter that was talked about in the early new 52 JL comic's. We haven't heard anything lately though.

Thatks confusing and reminds me that I should really read up on the New 52 verse.

Though I stared to read some old Ultimate Spiderman comics and have to ask why everyone hated the Green Goblin in the Ultimate verse. Hulk Goblin looked great on paper IMO.
