Michael Jackson Witness Admits Lying

Article by the Associated Press

Santa Maria, CA - A 14-year-old boy who testified that Michael Jackson molested his brother acknowledged under cross-examination Tuesday that the pop star didn’t show him a sex magazine that the prosecution had introduced into evidence. The witness also said he lied under oath in a separate civil lawsuit.

The teenager, who visited Jackson’s Neverland ranch for the last time in March 2003, became confused after Jackson attorney Thomas Mesereau showed him a copy of Barely Legal magazine dated August 2003.

The boy had testified on Monday that the magazine was one of those that Jackson had showed to him and his brother.

Confronted with the conflicting dates, the boy said: “I never said it was exactly that one. That’s not exactly the one he showed us.”

He said he had looked at the magazine with District Attorney Tom Sneddon before it was presented as evidence.

Under further questioning by Mesereau, the boy also said he lied under oath in another case when he swore that his mother and father never fought and that his father never hit him.

“When you were asked if your dad ever hit you, you said 'never,”’ said Mesereau. “Were you telling the truth?”

“No,” said the boy, who is the only trial witness so far to testify that the molestation occurred.

Jackson’s attorney also referred to a civil suit the boys’ mother filed against a department store company over an encounter with security guards. The mother claimed she was sexually assaulted and the family was beaten by the store guards. The defense contends the suit shows the family has a history of filing false claims to get money.

“Did someone tell you to lie in the JC Penney case?” Mesereau asked.

“I don’t remember,” the boy said.

When Mesereau asked him to tell the jury why he lied under oath, the boy said: “I don’t remember. It was five years ago. I don’t remember nothing.”

Jackson, 46, is accused of molesting a 13-year-old boy cancer survivor at his Neverland estate in 2003 and giving him alcohol. He also is accused of conspiring to hold the boy’s family captive to get them to rebut a damaging documentary in which Jackson said he allowed children to sleep in his bedroom.

The 14-year-old boy became a crucial prosecution witness Monday when he testified to actually seeing molestation, saying he twice walked into Jackson’s bedroom and saw Jackson masturbating with one hand while the other was in his sleeping brother’s underwear.

Mesereau asked the boy Tuesday about an alarm system in Jackson’s house that alerts the singer when anyone is in the hall outside his bedroom.

“So the two times you claim you saw Michael Jackson touching your brother in bed, that alarm went off?” asked Mesereau.

“Yes,” said the boy.

When the boy testified about the alleged molestation on Monday he did not mention any bell or alarm system and said his brother slept through both incidents, snoring at one point.

After court recessed, Jackson spokeswoman Raymone K. Bain said in a statement that the singer “felt better today” than he did on Monday. She said that the “scurrilous and salacious accusations and details, all untrue, were hurtful and embarrassing to Mr. Jackson” and that the singer feels that Mesereau is “doing an excellent job.”

they will never get him
and here is why-- any parent who would allow their kid to sleep over
jackson's house is obviously seeking fortune at the expense of their own child.
any parent who would put their child in harms way like this is the scum of the earth, and scummy people are easy to discredit.

I heard this on the radio several times today. It's not even interesting. Why does national news always receive media blackouts?

you're ignoring the fact that the kid didnt deny that he showed him 'A' porn mag... just lied about it being that exact one...

and if i was that young and in court, i dont know if i could truthfully answer whether my dad has abused me or not!! - i mean, ffs, its a pretty sensitive issue for a kid... 😬

Why does everyone keep making excuses? The little shit lied and got busted. Good.

This isn't a situation where lying is acceptable.

If they never found out he was lying and the man got sent down, he'd have been sent down on lies. The public would have sucked it up like they always do.

This is just despicable.

-AC

Yep, he lied.

You know, whatever the case, I'm not going to be surprised by either verdict. If he's innocent then that will have been obvious because of his wealth and the fact that these kids stories aren't consistant and filled with holes.

If he's guilty, then I won't be surprised because he's readily admitted to sleeping in the same bed with children and has gone on record saying he thinks this is okay, which is undeniably fishy and questionable.

Whatever the case, all the shit MJ is going through is his own fault. He shouldn't be having kids over for "sleep overs" and he definately shouldn't be sleeping in the same bed with him, especially after he has been accused of this before.

but as i pointed out AC, the only parents who would send their kids to molestation ranch are those who would set their kids up.

and before you call that bullshit...answer me this:
would you let your kids stay there?

scumbag parents will never be in short supply, so there will always be cases against jackson, his lawyers will always point out the lies, and the 'little shit' will be sent home crying.

only thing is, the whole time jackson is getting his rocks off on children and getting away with it.

Seriously, any guy who has alarms go off when people approach his bedroom door from the hallway has to be a pediphile. 😬

bet he calls it the 'pull your pants up' alarm

HE will get off, and no one should be suprised about this.

The kid lying is not a good thing, but I can guarantee you that between his lawyers telling him what to say, his parents telling him what to say, and MJ's lawyers questioning him has probably mind f*cked this kid so bad that he probably ain't sure of the truth himself.

The mother also has a questionable past and is probably lting too.

All that being said, MJ is also lying, so who knows what's gonna happen, exept for tha fact that MJ's money will but this problem away like it did before. The first time cost him 25 million, he got lucky and the second time only cost him 2.5 million. This instance is still to be determined.

Michael Jackson is screwed in my opinion. No sane person can look at MJ and all the evidence and honestly say that he's innocent.

Can you imagine MJ in prison? His perm is falling out, his makeup is splotchy, his nose is dangling all over the place. That would be a saaaaad sight. If he goes to prison, I give MJ at least 6 months before his fellow prisoners beat him to death. Prisoners hate pedophiles. At least they're good for somethin.

they would never put him in with the general population. they keep sexual offenders separate. he would be among his own kind

His own Kind? Are there others like MJ? That's a scarey fricken thought.

Santa Maria, CA - The brother of Michael Jackson’s accuser was hammered by more cross-examination Wednesday, and said key points in his testimony contradicted an earlier account because “I was nervous when I did the interview.”

The 14-year-old boy testified this week that he twice saw his sleeping brother being molested by Jackson, both times by walking upstairs into Jackson’s bedroom at the singer’s Neverland ranch.

Defense attorney Thomas Mesereau Jr. produced an interview the boy gave to sheriff’s deputies in which he said he was lying on a couch pretending to be asleep when he witnessed the second molestation.

“I was pretending like I was sleeping. I was in his couch, the little couch,” Mesereau quoted from a transcript.

Mesereau asked the boy questions about whether his account of the second molestation had changed.

“It was actually three times,” the boy said.

Mesereau also asked him about what exactly Jackson was doing to his brother in the second incident and how he was touching him.

“I was nervous when I did the interview,” the boy said.

“So because you were nervous you didn’t get the facts right,” the attorney asked.

“Yes,” the boy said.

On Tuesday, Mesereau produced a transcript of grand jury testimony by a psychologist who interviewed the 14-year-old boy and reported yet another description of the second molestation with fundamentally different physical details.

Prisoners at Neverland?

Mesereau on Wednesday also challenged prosecutors’ claims that the boys’ family was held against their will at Neverland for nearly a month, getting the boy to acknowledge that the family left three times.

“How many times do you think your family escaped from Neverland and then went back so they could escape again?” Mesereau asked.

“I don’t get the question,” the boy said.

The boy later said he only considered the third departure from Neverland to be an escape.

The witness also gave an account of how his sister received alcohol from Jackson that differed from the version the sister gave in her own testimony.

The sister testified earlier that she drank wine with Jackson and her brothers in a wine cellar. But the boy told Mesereau his sister received alcohol from Jackson in his kitchen and it was vodka.

“It wasn’t in the wine cellar?” Mesereau asked.

The boy said no.

The cross-examination of the accuser’s brother began on Tuesday, when Mesereau got the boy to acknowledge that Jackson had not really shown him or his brother a particular sex magazine.

The boy appeared caught by surprise when Mesereau confronted him with his testimony from Monday that Jackson showed him and his brother an issue of a magazine called Barely Legal, which was displayed by District Attorney Tom Sneddon as a significant piece of evidence seized from Jackson’s home.

Magazine contradiction

The boy reiterated he was sure it was the exact magazine Jackson showed them in a suitcase full of magazines.

“Michael Jackson never showed you that magazine, Barely Legal, did he?” Mesereau said in an accusatory tone.

“Yes,” said the boy.

“But when you look at the date, it was August 2003,” Mesereau said, pointing out that the family left Jackson’s Neverland ranch for the last time in March 2003.

“I didn’t say it was exactly the one he showed us,” the boy said defensively, adding later, “I said he showed us those type of magazines.”

Jackson, 46, is accused of molesting a 13-year-old cancer survivor at Neverland in 2003, giving him alcohol and conspiring to hold the boy’s family captive to get them to rebut a damaging TV documentary in which Jackson said he allowed children to sleep in his bedroom.

Jackson’s defense contends the family has a history of filing false claims to get money.

On Tuesday, the brother said under cross-examination that he lied under oath in a deposition for another case when he swore that his mother and father never fought and that his father never hit him.

“Did someone tell you to lie in the J.C. Penney case?” the lawyer asked, referring to a lawsuit brought by the boy’s mother against the retailer over an encounter with security guards.

“I don’t remember,” the boy said.

Asked to tell the jury why he lied, the boy said, “I don’t remember. It was five years ago. I don’t remember nothing.”

The allegations that the father abused the family surfaced later during the parents’ divorce.

The whole "seperation" technique rarely if ever works. Nearly 90% of all convicted pedophiles even if seperated eventually meet some sort of untimely end at the hands of the other prisoners. Not to mention the guards aren't really differential to the pedophiles getting their asses beaten down anyway. One good example is the pedophile priest. He was seperated. But he still got killed.

that would be a result of a plot set by the guards and/or warden. sexual offenders are often kept in an entirely seperate building, walled off from the general population. unless there is a plot (which could very well be) he would not be killed.

I'm sure there is going to be a plot. Michael Jackson would get his white/black/white whatever a$$ kicked to high heaven. Unless he goes Thriller like he did in his video.
