Yes I say about even but torch doesn't use his powers wholeheartedly and wisely, like spiderman does at like 20% effort.

That and the fact that spiderman has backed him many times, and humiliated him before, leads me to believe that if he's pissed he would ko Torch in Torch's calm, iceman manner. Beside's spidey would outsmart him, and get torch to fight on his terms. then taking advantaage of the offensive.

Spidey's used special webbing to put him out before, he'd do it again. Spidey's really good @ stuff like that.

Don't get me wrong cos I'm a huge spiderman fan but I think the Torch takes this at least 7/10

The Torch could just fly up high and go Nova. He wouldn't need a direct hit, he could still just burn him up. However If Spidey was quick and smart enough (which he can be) He could win this. 💃

I see that, I think torch has the superior advantage as far as damage and flight goes, I just don't think spiderman wold allow himself to be thwarted only by flight, its not his first fighting enemy you know.

Like I said, it depends on the attitudes. Spiderman is pissed by the thread rules, and Torch isn't. He wouldn't get the chance to summon a Nova, but it is time costly, and would leave him drained, while the farther he flyss away, the lesser chance of the nova has of hitting. By means of hiding place .However, torch can put up great feats, he just doesnt think thiem up often, and gets owned at times by opponents that are slower.

i really dont know why ppl keep saying nova is costley time wise i have an issue that says "in a blink of an eye the boy releases his nova flame stopping any and all incoming attacks" i see it could go either way but torch should win imo

It would take time for it to generate, and would wear him out, a costly move.

Torch is considered one of the less intelligent fighters, and is basically - sorry Torch lovers everywhere - a one trick pony. Without his fire, he's nothing.

Granted, one could say the same of SM, but he has at least his willpower and his intelligence.

And SM beats Torch 8/10. I'm pretty sure SM can annoy Torch so much, that it'll be only a matter of seconds that Torch can't think straight anymore.

Spidey has more cunning , and the Torch isn't exactly Mr. Strategic, but he could cause more damage, no doubt, nothing spidey hasn't dealt with before, but seriously I don't see torch wisely using his powers on a guy who takes advantage of the offensive.
