Grievous can use the Force

JESUS......how did this thread get so popular? And how did it get so crappy?
Here's a few things:

1. ANYONE can wield a lightsaber. Go ahead and pick up a flashlight. Then start swinging it around...WOW....you can use a lightsaber....no force needed.

2. Somebody said a moronic comment like Grievous can use the force even though he has only a small part of his body left, just like vader. Here's a thought: VADER was trained in the jedi arts, then in the sith way. He had the highest number of midichlorians that ever existed in a single being (till Luke i suppose). When he got both arms and both legs cut off he lost a substantial ammount of those midichlorians. BUT having had so many, he could still use the force quite effectively, given that he was controlling it and not just unleashing it like raw power. About Grievous, it states NOWHERE that he had a high number of midichlorians BEFORE he was "droid-ized", let alone AFTER that. He was also NEVER taught how to use the force. He was taught how to fight with lightsabers, how to use unorthodox methods such as using his legs for attack in combat against Jedi, he was taught how jedi fight, he was taught how to hold a lightsaber just right

[quote=Dooku]"You're holding it too tightly. Now it's not tight enough."

And yeah, that's EU, but it gives a rational explanation for what happens and/or is said in the movies.

3. Grievous NEVER in the toons (EU) or in the movie (canon) deflected shots at him, laser bolts, etc. (i might be wrong, but that's how i remember it). He simply AVOIDED being hit. He used his mechanically enhanced speed and reflexes to RUN AWAY from the shots taken at him. He was basically dodging the shots while also getting closer to the one shooting. That is VERY different from how Jedi use the force to have a precognitive ability to sense where the shots are coming from and deflect them with the lightsaber.

I agree, but I highly doubt Luke had as much midicholrians as Anakin had. Anakin was essentially midicholrians in a corporeal manifestation. I mean NJO Luke is powerful because he achieves his full potential, unlike Anakin. If Anakin had not lost any limbs it's needless to say he would be a force to be reckoned with, perhaps more powerful than Darth Revan himself.

STOP BUMPING THIS!

😛

just kidding.

Han Solo used Luke's lightsaber to cut open the Taun-Taun in The Empire Strikes Back. Can he use the force? No.

So you're saying anyone of us can be bad-ass with a lightsaber without having a high midi-chlorian count?

Baisically. You just need the proper training.

Oh yeah. I remember Han also taking out a bunch of Jedi with a lightsaber.

Wait a minute, uh, i'm sorry, that was Grievous. 😛

cartoons is cartoons they never show the truth

DAMN... WHY WON"T THIS THREAD DIE!!!

*force chokes it into submission*

GRRRRRRRRRR!!

Grievous dose not have the force and if he did it would be so miniscule that he probaly couldn't even push a ant away from him. if he had the force in the first place before he became a droid he definatly would have lost it by now. he did lose like his legs, arms, torso actuly i think he only has his heart (prehaps some other organs too) and face left but i mabey wrong. if, as people say above, you lose your force? miticlorines when you lose a body part/ limb and if what i say is true Grievous definatly has lost too many miticloriens therefore has lost his force powers (if he had any in the first place)

Jeez Yuxa, lay off the stimcaffe.

See what I did? I made Star Wars jokey-reference type thing! Wakka Wakka!

Greiovus is the shit.

Force and all!

So now that you've been proven wrong concerning "you need the force to wield a lightsaber" with the Han Solo refference, you're trying to turn it into a "you have to use the force to be GOOD with a lightsaber" ?
Because that's just plain crap.

~wickerman~

So what are you saying?

Grievous was a good swordsman or he was a crap swordsman?

You can't have it two ways, man. No double standard here...🙁

Grevious hasn´t even got a dick, how can he use the force?

That's actually quite logical.

actually, this seems to be on my mind.
Remember EP I, where Anakin has jedi reflexes to pod race. Qui Gon said, "Well you must have jedi refexes to race pods", meaning he can see things before they happen.
Well, if see things before they happen is a jedi trait, then all the other pod racers have this ability, maybe their using the force

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO dony say that, soon the others will think thats true

lol, thats why you have to argue that it isn't true.
come on, please convince me that it isn't

I need to know whats up with this

That's pretty interesting.

But somehow, I don't see Sebulba wielding two lightsabers and force chocking Jabba, if you know what I mean.

dude you haft to be a jedi to use the force he is not a jedi hes a warlord from kaleesh and he worked with san hill in attack of the clones then san hill orginized his speeder crash which fried him but then they brought him bak as a prototype vader and only his brains and internal organze survived then dooku trained him to use lightsabers and thats it and dooku did not like greivous at all that enough said for me
