LOL I actually think the word demon orginally meant wise spirit. I think some of the demons in the Bible were originally pagan gods, of course because your supposed to worship one God the pagan gods became evil.
Chrisanity itself isnt bad but it seems one of the main purposes of Abrahamuc faiths was to control people as opposed to heathenism and paganism which was just a religion, as a result anything non-Christian became bad.

The church made up demons. The most worshipped gods in Pagan religions were made into demons and witches like Freyja, I believe. In mythology she also had a cat, and the church made cats demonic too. They made her a witch. Just imagine another religion came in, a very powerful one and made Jesus into a demon. The worship of him would be your death. This is what happened to them.

Yes Freyja is the godess of withcraft and she is associated with cats. Cats draw her chariot.

Incorrect she was the godess of withcraft before they tried to demonize her. Even in Norse society witchs were sometimes persecuted becuase they were feared, basically they were dangerous.
I think some witches were even dedicated to Thor and Freyja was supposed to have taught other gods withcraft.
The difference is that in Norse society sometimes wicthes were accepted but due to Christanity it became something totally evil.
