Na, its his encreased sense of smell that does it actually.

K I'll take your word on this but it seems like BS since really only Nightcrawler, precogs and possibly telepaths should be able to predict where he's going to port to.

No, please don't take his word for it. There is no way, heightened senses or not, that Wolvie could PREDICT where NC would be teleporting to. That's like saying Daredevil would know where NC would teleport because of his uber-heightened senses. Heightened senses may be able to help Wolvie FIND OUT where he teleported very quickly. But he will never be able to predict it.

Those heightened senses of his do not equal precognition.

Actually... a decent strategist should be able to determine NC's teleportation...

I mean, 9 times out of 10 he's going to port behind you, and at least 7 or 8 of those will be aimed at the head...

See? Even that made more sense than using your heightened sense of smell to predict where a TELEPORTER will teleport to.

The smell of brimestone or what ever is stronger in the direction that crawler is going to port to. It was explained in a Nightcrawler/ Wolverine team up in several issues of Marvel Comics Presents, and the story line focused on Nightcrawler.

NC's defensive teleportation would be unpredictable for even a good strategist in my opinion.

defensive, as in porting away?

He could determine it, but nightcrawler would dance around him, and that is until logan gets aswipe.

Nightcrawlers agility rivals spiderman, and if spiderman could get his hands on him, then Kurt could too.

So he cannot predict where NC is teleporting to through heightened senses only detect where he has appeared... and I can do that with my eyes.

No, in the intial Bamf cloud that NC leaves the sent is stronger in the direction that NC is porting to. Wolverine has been able to predict his location accuratly to kick him in the stomach the instant he appeared.

Howerver CorderaMitchell is right. If Night Crawler just ports around a bunch the smell of the brimestone will overwelm Logan's senses confusing the hell out of him, it has happened before.

You love that "k" don't you, whats your verdict on classic namor vesus wolverine??

i dont know enough about classic Namor to judge... if hes the same one that beat the Hulk then he'd tear Logan a new one...

Are you HONESTLY saying that Logan began that kick before Kurt appeared? Because I find that hard to believe. I do believe that perhaps he began that kick as soon as Kurt did appear though, since he would be able to detect him via the scent of brimstone. But I don't believe he already knew where he was going. Kurt's teleporting is instantaneous. There is no way that Logan would know. Again, that whole lack of precog. And where do you get this idea that the brimstone smell is stronger wherever he is about to teleport? Wouldn't that mean that all of his enemies would know just a split second before he appeared? I mean, you don't need heigtened senses to smell Kurt's brimstone scent. There is no way that can be true, since Kurt teleports through another dimension. Logan CANNOT smell what's coming from another dimension.

Arg.

Okay, you know that cloud of smoke that Kurt leaves behind when he teleports?

The sent of the brime stone, is thicker or more potent in the cloud in the direction that NC is going to teleport.

Okay. I'll just let you have that Wolvie will know the direction. But. That's just the general direction. There are COUNTLESS different angles that one could attack from from a certain direction. Think about it. He could attack high, low, mid, from a diagonal point of view, or he could even teleport again instantly and appear somewhere else, which would immediately throw Wolvie off, since he would turn to the general direction that NC would be teleporting.
