I agree angel would make an awsome herald. He could have these godly powers like healing things on a cosmic scale and the exact opposite causing death. Iceman would be a cool herald too but hes already damn powerful how would galactus make him any stronger? Any telepath, besides jean, would make a cool herald (shes already more powerful than galan).
Taskmaster would be pimp.
Green Lantern wouldn't be all that great because A: They basically have the powers of Silver Surfer as is, but most are much weaker and slower. B: The power comes from a weapon. Sentinel would be a whole different story though...
Supes has way too many abilities as it is, I'd say its better to augment a being with a more focused power, like Iceman or the Human Torch.
Or Batman. His big power is the power of badass. 😄
Martian Manhunter might be interesting... Uber telepathy and control of his own matter and physical attributes. (power cosmic stat boosting x50)
Flash might actually be cool... Time stop blasts, anyone?

The power to locate and define opponents weakness just by sight !!! And fear-implantment to opponents brain !!!

Secondly, Hulk cannot beat any herald. Thor can only beat a few of the weaker ones like Nova or Terrax. He needed Hercules' help to beat Firelord, and he has stalemated SS many times, but has never beat him.
I've never been sold on the idea that Surfer can beat Thor...in SS #4 (original series) they fought, and Thor beat him. A few other times to my knowledge they have fought, each time the Surfer had help. The first time Loki enlisted the Surfer in his attempt to kill Thor. Loki battled the Surfer and found that he could be able to beat Thor. He then took Surfer to Asgard and Surfer was met with Thor's hospitality. Loki then initiated a battle, and Thor literally beat the hell out of the Surfer. Loki then augmented Surfers powers and they still fought essentially to a draw. After the fight Surfer admitted that he could not defeat Thor unless his power was augmented.
The second time was during the Blood and Thunder series. Thor had just got done beating down Beta Ray Bill. Surfer then engaged him. Thor knocked him around, Bill then got up and had a brief moment against Thor and put him down. Thor then got up and blasted at the Surfer with Bill getting in the way. Surfer then put Bill on his board and sent him away. Surfer was at a handicap without his board for about 2 pages. Surfer then got his board back and was getting pissed. He said a very good line too and went all out on Thor. Thor then hit him with the hammer and put the Surfer out cold. Surfer would have died if not for Adam Warlock coming in.
Warlock and Surfer both engaged Thor. This was a very one-sided victory for Thor. Warlock even did his karmic blast to Thor and it didn't effect him at all. Thor addressed them as bothersome fleas as he began his assault.
So as you can see Surfer had help every time and still lost.

An ungodly stupid assumption. How can a being with 1% of the Power Cosmic possibly be a threat to a being with 90%+? Even if you believe that Apockie is already uber-powerful, (which he's not), that doesn't guarantee that he'll be at the level of Galactus himself, or even Tyrant. That's just Pockie-fanboyism at it's most flagrant.
Case in point: Norrin Radd was a simple man...Tyros was a warrior/dictator with mutant powers (sort of). Both were endowed with the Power Cosmic, and Surfer ended up more powerful than Terrax.
Colossus? Dude's a beast, but kinda stupid for a herald... Pretty much all people with more passive abilities are going to end up pretty stupid (Forge, Wolverine, Daredevil).
Superman already has too many powers, and is already basically unbeatable in his biggest ones. (strength and durability) What's the power cosmic going to give him that someone else doesn't already have?
I like the idea of Angel having life force based powers (healing and life draining). The flaming sword would be too much like Zauriel though. He could get a double edged one (one side kills, the other heals) for the life and death theme though.
