Haha, let's just say that because we decide to celebrate gods birthday on December 25 aswell doesn't mean that we actually got the whole idea from Pagans, anyways I'm methodist, not catholic.

This is how it works...Pagan = Catholic = Protestant....and Methodist is protestant...."Only the names have been changed to protect the innocent."

Jesus stole Mithras Birthday...And I would be very upset about that if I were Mithra....And RA is also a Sun god...But, hey...this is your hang-out room....I'll go now.

So.......

"Hail to the Sun God, For he is a Fun God, Ra Ra Ra."

Lol, well maybe the saints are called saints because of their good deeds.
or that the word saint comes from the latin word sancre(holy)

hey everyone

Halo 😇 (hello)

would cue for a Lionel song but I pass

OK then....how about the Cars...

hello, hello again

you might have forgot
the journey ends
you tied your knots
and you made your friends
you left the scene
without a trace
one hand on the ground
one hand in space

oh you passed on mercy
you tried the rest
you gave your body
you gave your best
stare at the green door
livin' in the sky
you don't wanna know it
you just want to fly

Cars are soo cooool

I saw them in concert once....My best friend got main floor, but I still had a good seat in front row of Tier A....good seat.

here she comes again
when she's dancing 'neath the starry sky
you kinda like the way she dips

So.......

Jesus did not steal anyone's birthday, the day 25 December was chosen by the world to celebrate the birth of Christ. We do not have the exact birth date. It is like Presidant's Day in USA in July. Surely no one believes all of the presidents were born on that day but it was set aside to celebrate the presidents of USA. And no one is realy sure of Mithra's birthday either. As his name explains - Mith...

And no one is realy sure of Mithra's birthday either. As his name explains - Mith...
the name Mithra comes from Mihr and it means friendship and as contract............. so whats your point about the name?

The Encyclopaedia Britannica reports that "The traditional customs connected with Christmas have developed from several sources as a result of the coincidence of the celebration of the birth of Christ with the pagan agricultural and solar observations at midwinter. In the Roman world the Saturnalia (December 17) was a time of merrymaking and exchange of gifts. December 25 was also regarded as the birth date of the Iranian mystery god Mithra, the Sun of Righteousness."

Colliers Encyclopedia agrees. Quote: "After the triumph of Constantine, the church at Rome assigned December 25 as the date for the celebration of the feast, possibly about A.D. 320 or 353. By the end of the fourth century the whole Christian world was celebrating Christmas on that day, with the exception of the Eastern churches, where it was celebrated on January 6. The choice of December 25 was probably influenced by the fact that on this day the Romans celebrated the Mithraic feast of the Sun-god (natalis solis invicti), and that the Saturnalia also came at this time."Both encyclopedias plainly reveal that the source of the celebration of December 25 is the birthday of Mithra, the pagan sun god.
