Sean Penn may be the new Joker.

According to a story on Ain't It Cool News, Chis Nolan, who directed Batman Begins, wants Sean Penn to play the Joker in the next Batman movie. In my opinion, Penn is one of the best actors in the world, and he would be just as good as Jack was in the original film.

Penn is too old, in my opinion. They need to get a young actor.

I don't mean to be "glib", but how old was Jack Nicholson when he played the Joker? I think he was older than Penn is today. He sure looked older. 😱

He played an incarcerated hick in Dead Man Walking. I have a hard time seeing him as an eccentric, maniacal madman, however.

Lets see, sean penn is 45 years old now, but he looks younger.

Jack nicholson was 52 years old when he played the joker, but he looked older.

I dont see what is the problem with that, i like this choice because penn is a amazing actor and could give a great performance as the joker.

The only thing that would worry me about Penn in the role is I dont think he is quite tall enough like The joker is suppose to be.Isn't Penn kinda short?

The reason I mention his age is because I think they should make him a formidable person for Batman. If he's old looking it might come off as being really weak in comparison.

Yeah, mr parker. That is the only problem that i see in penn playing the joker, the height. Sean Penn is a short man, even shorter than jack nicholson, and the joker is suposed to be a tall man. That is the only problem that i see in his choice.

Jack Nichelson was great as crazy people before Batman. I can't think of a performance that Penn has given to make me think he can pull off Joker.

Sean Penn is actually a great actor. One of those classic guys...the type to win Oscars and such; as opposed to Cedric the Entertainer, for example.

Penn is a great choice.

I really think they need some body insain to play Joker. I know Jim Carrey has already played the Riddler but I think he would be a great Joker.

All joking aside, I like Sean Penn, but I don't see him in a role that requires true insanity. He seems more low-brow than that.

Well, I'm sure he can pull it off. Let's see and wait...I've been a bit dissapointed with AICN lately.
