Nah, Loeb stated that Rulk had an unknown power that would explain his battle against Thor or something similar either right before or right after the fight.

IIRC, Rulk also stated he retained cosmic energy he absorbed from Thor while boarding the Hellicarrier of the Leader.

The recent issue was just the final confirmation that Rulk used energy absorption.

thor then beat the tar out of the red hulk, i really see no indication of draining as re hulk explained how he was beating thor which was backed up by what he did during the fight

red hulk also said he [drains energy, mostly gamma, but getting getting to like cosmic] or some shit. draining odin force seems like a huge stretch especially since thor looked far better than before red hulk "drained it" once he found him in the dessert

i'm not buying it

actually they have mentioned he drains "bio-energy"
whatever that means
