Her performance was precisely what Spielberg wanted her to protray, and not really a fair one to gauge an entire career on. Is there such a thing as a prodigical whiny, bratty girl? Didn't think so.

I disliked her immensely in War of the Worlds, and even more in Hide and Seek, I think she's going to burn out like the chick who was Matilda........what's her name again???

Mara Wilson.. and she hasn't burnt out..she stopped acting to graduate school.

Well, I dont care what you think about her because i simple find her as a very talented child! More talented than alot of people twice her age!

I hate brats too, but only when i am stuck babysitting them! If it is in a movie then i couldn't care less about that subject...I think!

Ugh, babysitting them would drive me crazy! So I guess I'm with you in the fact that I'll take them in a movie 'cause it could be a lot worse!

Oh see, i finally said something that made a little sense and that someone agreed with! Boi oh Boi does that make me feel good! After all i have been waiting my whole life for this day! LOL!!

There's a big difference between brats and child actors who outshine a lot of today's talents. There's something special about someone who was reading at age 2.

Okay, I'm renting Hide and Seek tonight. This will be the decisive movie where I evalute her talent. I shall report on my findings tomorrow.

Good pick..feels like a little victory, lol.

Little sidenote: I was born 70 miles from her hometown of Conyers, Georgia and my most memorable trip through the town was when I got arrested six years ago (buddy's fault - let's just leave it at that).

I'd say see "Taken" that's where she made her first Impression on me. 👆

Well, if she's of the same caliber as the likes of Katherine Hepburn, Jodie Foster, and Julie Andrews as everyone's seemingly making her out to be, then I expect nothing less than a performance that will command attention at next year's Oscars - regardless of the movie. 😛

You know the Academy doesn't look at Horror flicks for Oscar worthy performances. That's like panning for gold in a septic tank.
