Dakato fanning an excellent actor. but do you think she's an actress or child star.

She's a hell of an actor exspecialy in 'Taken' where she portrayed her character beautifully.
Better then that kid from 'Star Wars Episode 1' who was also in 'Jingle all the Way' with the terminator.

Well, I saw War Of The Worlds last night, and I found her to be severley irritating in it. I didn't find her performance to be up to the standard she has portrayed in previous films.

Dakota Fanning did a great performance in War of the Worlds.The expressions of pure fear on Rachel (Dakota Fannings) face are totally convincing.She is so brilliant and expressive actress for her age .Dakota is a huge talent, and this is probably her greatest performance to date.

Let's not try to confuse the word "performance" with "paycheck," shall we?

Personally, all I think she did was scream. If that had been my child, I would have given her a serious slap to try and sort her out!!!! 😂

Yeah, they could have gone to an intriguing subplot involving Tom Cruise and his belt.

I kind of thought the whole screaming thing was meant to make it more realistic. I kind of thought that is the way many a kid with anxiety problems might act.

Still, I think she has a good future ahead of here, for a youngster she seems pretty capable with roles in many movies that definitely have a more mature feel. Like Man on Fire, War of the Worlds and so forth, which is always good, hopefully means she wont go the way of Macaulay Culkin and that kid from Star Wars (though what happened to the kid from the Sixth Sense?)

Maybe, but the whole screaming thing just reminded me of that girl from Jaws 2. The one that I really wanted the shark to eat because she was so annoying. 😈

Nah, she didn't look that cool!

She performe dher role excellentley in War of the Worlds. She did what she was told. it wasn't just screaming. She was crying and flipping out pretty good. She has no control over what the writer and director want from her all she can do is act it.
So don't put her down because she cried and screamed the whole film.
