cheers Same reason I would vote for Hillary Clinton.
That aside...
Aren't there 2 issues here?
1. Gay couples bound in wedlock should have the same rights as married heteros. Absolutely. While I do have some reservations about a same-sex couple raising a child without the role-model presence of Both Genders in that child's life, I certainly would not stand in the way of a happy, loving pair wanting to raise a family.
2. What do we call this binding wedlock? "Marriage?"
Here's the thing: "Marriage" is the term many want to reserve solely for the union between a man and a woman. Why a man and a woman? Because (and this is the time-honored, original intent of the pair bond) this means children. Marriage did not evolve just so two people could live together. The intent was for 2 people to get together to have children.
So my question is this: if a man and a woman get together but consciously, deliberately, intentfully decide Not to have children, should That union be called a "marriage?"

1. According to the US Constitution, all Men are created equal, including gays. They should have the same rights are non-gays.💃
it also says everyone has a right to their own religion yet when do you ever hear of someone taking oath under the Koran or Torah?

That's a good point. But does that mean the Bible IS ACTUALLY superior to the Quran or Torah, just because it is treated as such ?
I don't think so. So that doesn't mean that straight men deserve more rights than gay men.
Everyone deserves the same rights. Period.

To elaborate, if you look at the 14th amendment, it states [paraphrase] "all citizens of the United States are equal under law" This proves that gay marriage not only should be legalized, but it is in fact guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution. Is not marriage an institution recognized by law? Does not a married couple have to have legal marriage liscence?
Gay marraige doesn't have to be legalized, really, because it already is.

2. Gay marriage happens everyday in America. What we are really debating is making gay marriage licenses legal. As you read this, two men are getting "married" in a church somewhere in America, and you people in the Red States can't stop it. 😆4. Finally, I want gay marriage to be legal because it would piss off the Red States. That is reason enough for me.

You know, I was considering answering this seriously, but then I decided that I would rather save the breath so I could make an anti-Semitic comment as I died.
