I really don't agree with that. Yes marriage for a lot of people is worthless and a lot of people get divorced. But at the time of marriage it can be a extra sign of love that you are willing to commit to more then just living together and signing some stupid contract. Why do you think Gay people want marriage so bad, so they can get divorced? Or perhaps because they too believe that there might be some bigger picture behind it, that it shows you are willing to commit yourself.
So what if a lot of people get divorced it doesn't take away the fact that a lot of other people really want to get married and really see it as a sign that their love is forever.
Not to mention those christian and Muslim nuts that think you need to be married to have sex...
Wait, perhaps you are right. Marriage should be banned would stop those people from breeding.
