Of course it is not something you achieved. But to say it is moronic isn nonsensical. You can be proud of things that you did not achieve that either are just the way they are or that someone else achieved. Like one can be proud to be 2 metres tall...or to be black or Irish...or take pride in being a fan of some football team that wins. it is not moronic, it is just generally human nature. people are can be proud (or not) of what they are.
