Why do people get married?
Surely it is a symbol of love.
If a man loves a man, he should be able to show his love by marriage.
The same goes for a woman who loves a woman.
I really don't see why it's not allowed. What possible reason could there be for preventing gay marriage?
If two gay people get married, how on earth is it going to affect you?
People seem to be using religion as an argument quite a bit. If the homosexuals in question don't follow your religious beliefs, why should they have to conform to your rules?
It all seems quite odd to me. I don't understand the disagreement.

There is nothing wrong with it; here is how it goes.
You fall in love. Who cares who it's with? You can't control love. You can't control attraction. It's the same for straight people. You don't decide to fall in love with someone from the opposite sex.
There is absolutely no reason to deny gays and lesbians the right to display their love for one another through the act of marriage.

Its also about being true to yourself and who you are.
Why do people get married - so that they can show off their love to the world for their partner/s. Its the exact same thing for gay people, all they want in this world, is to be recognised as everybody as, they're not different, they're still human, they still love, they still deserve that right to show the world that they have fallen in love and who with.
Being gay myself, Im proud of it, I know that not everyone accepts homosexuality, so I don't go walking down the street locking lips with my gf or anything, I respect people who don't accept it ... and I wish that they would accept me in return ... it just doesn't always work out that way.
So ... Yes, Gay marriages should be accepted, why? Because everyone should have the chance to show the world who they have fallen in love with ... and maybe one day, I'll want to show the world, and I hope that I have that chance ... just like everyone who is straight has that chance ...

Hmm, the reasons could go on forever. Such things as like ... Homophobic people don't accept that you can't fall in love or have feelings with someone of the same sex - why they think that, maybe because they haven't felt these feelings for the same sex before because they're straight ... or maybe they have, but they denied them because they were scared, it wasn't accepted back in the day even more then now, and ... so forth reasons like that. So someone can't understand why someone would want to make a commitement for something that isn't 'true'. The thing is ... people are scared in this world, and its sad. Because there is nothing to be scared of, love is love ... you love who you love.
When I was 12, I thought about love all the time, it was something that I looked forward to, I wanted it more then anything, but I never in my right mind thought that it would be a female that my first love was. But acceptence of who I am today, has lead me to loving myself. I LOVE who I am, I love that I love girls, Im not ashamed of it, because ... loving is the greatest thing on earth, and Im ever so glad to be able to share it with someone ... even if they are are female
