Vaya, you missed the countless speeches Bush made, clearly stating that Iraq were harbouring both those responsible for 9/11 and WMD? Both of which, were never discovered and one of which was soon admitted to be a "mistake". Despite him admitting to knowing there were no WMD.
Bush isn't helping anyone. He's just as bad. If you actually think otherwise, as stated twice before, naive.

the 9/11 reports keep getting cited to prove anti bush sentiment yet the same report concluded that the people weren't lied to
yes mistakes were made...yes intelligence was flawed...doesn't help matters that over the 10 years since the last gulf war saddams regimes caught and executed many intelligence officers from many nations including the US

now i know thats not aimed at me because i am neither naive of ill informed of either the nature and roots of islamic extremism or of the response to tackle it.
i personally do not see the iraq war or even the september 11th attacks as the beginning of the current crisis
