His board is used for fast travel, the speed that he moves his body also surpasses SM due to the nature of his cosmic physiology. If u think SM can beat SS in a fist fight, u severely underestimate Surfer durability and physical strength...lets not even get on the subject of an enraged SS who would crumple SM up like a piece of paper.

comparing SM to Thanos? that makes sense...Superman was about t get his ass kicked by a new Black Rock guy who didnt have any experience in his own comic this month...we dont have to look far for examples of vulnerabiltity for Superman. Of course SS will get dropped in a fight against Thanos, look at who Thanos hangs with, Odin and Tyrant?
whats ur point? SM is a character writtin for children who would hate to see their hubris filled character suffer a humiliating defeat. Marvel characters r generally not like that, most Marvel characters will have moments where they r humiliated thats what makes them more identifiable with the reader. Its a device to make them more entertainng...well more entertaining to more mature readers...Im not going to get into the whole Marvel is better than DC argument again.
