Supes could be asleep and Spidey couldn't hurt him.
Kal could wake up in the morning to find an unconcious Spidey collapsed from exhaustion, surrounded by bent crowbars/broken sledgehammers/dozens of squished bullets/spent welding torches/etc etc etc...
Superman - to any 'street-level' hero - is invulnerable.

I have that issue. Spidey was powered with a red sun radiation thing and he caught Supes off guard. Dont get me wrong Im a big Spiderman fan and I think Superman is one of the worst Characters ever but Spidey cant win this.

Superman could stand around for two to three hours and wait for Spidey to get up the Sears Tower. Then fly to the next city and wait for him on the biggest skyscraper making the webhead really tired and give him something to laugh at besides his own lame jokes. Then when Spidey is finally caught up he will simply hand him a pipe and let him hit him for five minutes. Spidey will be so tired he will drop the pipe, go for one final punch and say...
"You think your so big!!! Stay away from my wife...augh"
Spider-man will pass out and fall off the skyscraper to his tragic death.
Superman will yell down "Noooooo!!!!!" But he wont save him.
