yes, of coarse, mace is alive. he died in ep3 but GL just put that scene in to trick us. he is very much alive, but will never be seen again in any LFL works.
he still lives in GL's mind and lucas can snicker at the trick he pulled on all of us.

Mulitple levels of EU continuity...ugh...
