unless George shows you the body (Qui-Gon, Owen, Beru, Vader, Greedo, etc) he ain't dead!
There are Jedi in hiding (otherwise, why would Yoda care if Obi- reset the Jedi Temple distress signal?). Yoda would have known if he and Obi were the last of the Jedi. George has spoken of using other, lesser characters for the live action TV show. So, theoretically speaking, Mace could live and other Jedi who were supposed to die in the movie
(Shaak Ti, Luminara, Barris, Quinlan Vos) could be alive and in hiding, only to be killed during the series (by Vader?) making Yoda and Obi the last of the Jedi by the OT...
