I would do it. I know he would have some kind of plan to use that incident to cause something else to happen without hurting me. Though I'm not sure how it would work, I would still have enough faith to do it. Remember, lots of prophets have had to do some pretty drastic things that seemed like total nonsense at the time. But by obeying God, everything turned out OK.

Do you think that God told the terrorists on 9-11 to do that?

Well, no, because I'm of a different religion and I believe that only certain people (mostly prophets) receive direct instructions from God. I personally believe they used their religion as an excuse to do something like that. I also (because of my religion) believe that they do not believe in the true God. But then, that's me. I have a biased opinion. I can admit it.

I like your honesty.
There are a lot of people who are nothing but followers with no power. If you give in to the will of others through blind faith, then you can be used by people with dishonest intentions.
Religion tends to encourage obedience and conformity.
Religious communities can socialize people to question and doubt or they can socialize people to rely upon blind and even fanatical faith in the legitimacy of religious leaders, whatever orders they might issue. The presumption of obedience makes it easy for authority to be abused.
When a person is perceived as possessing legitimate authority, they may be able to order people to do things they would not otherwise consider doing on their own. This is especially true of religious authority figures because they claim knowledge of or power over people’ s eternal fates, not simply their fate here in this life.

I would. Why not? Just as long as I am sure that it is God. But the real question is why would He want you to do that?
