Why does everyone complain about the usage of guns and cars?
Sonic Adventure
Had a mini-kart racing and Gamma was shooting
Sonic Adventure 2
Had 2 racing levels and Tails/Eggman was shooting
I for one find that using a motorcycle made it easier to attack the Black Arms ship for it gave you a more steady control to aim and shot. I saw guns to be a good thing for now you won't have to take chances as much to go in to attack the enemy. Shadow the Hedgehog is a good game that allows you to be Good or Evil. The music is also good. The levels are great for the wied varity of choices you can make. Still it isn't as good as the Gensis Sonics but it beats Sonic Heroes and Sonic Adventure (Which was very slow due to the adventure field crap)
Sonic Heroes was a bit naff. Try flying with Tails, controls well dodgy! I couldn't escape the lava at the end of one level & died! glare Sonic Adventure 2 good, love the Chaos! 😊 Only downside is when you jump with Sonic/Shadow. Sometimes they don't just jump, they do a homing attack!
Shadow does not need a bike though & lots of weapons. He's a very powerful hedgehog, he can run at the speed of light. Jak & Daxter is okay with guns & cars, I mean he only used to punch/kick so no big deal. Love it in that game, but not this one!
That thing about Mario with a sword, it just reminded me of Zelda. Sure hope they don't give him at gun or a monster truck, that would so be too much!
Shadow runs at the speed of sound not light. Only when using the lightspeed dash (I'm a Sonic fanboy what can I say?). And yeah Sonic Heroes isn't too great but I love the music. Still at first I hated the idea of Shadow using a gun I thought:
Shadow + Gun = Crappy Game
But I changed since I played the game because I find myself using weapons all the time so now I'm more of a
Shadow + Gun = Kick @$$
Speed of sound then, same thing. I too loved the music in Sonic Heroes, This Machine is the greatest song ever! They should have this kind of music on Top of the Pops instead of rubbish stuff! Sonic Adventure 2 Battle has great music too. The song when you take down that big monster in space (middle story.)
well lets try the scenario on a different character...
what if one day, while strolling through the streets of a pleasant hyrule.. link throws down his fairy hat.. wraps a do-rag around his head, whips out two mac-10's and decides hyrule needs a lil "Urbanization" ?.. doesnt that just destroy all that the franchise has done to build its name?.. I would think so 🙁

Okay, this is when my 'girly' side shows....oh Chao are sooo cute! 😊 I hate one called Suki (just changed it from Topaz.) She or he is a blue angel Chao & so sweet. She/he died once to be born again (when in a pink cacoon, look on internet for more details) & when it's born again, can make it an immortal Chaos Chao!
Once it was level 99 on everything, I mean everything! Lots of fruit & animals, then when it was born again, everything goes back to one. 😠 So mad about that!
But I'm no girly girl only because I love Chao's (awww), after all, I love so many non girly stuff. Looks something like this:
Aww no. 🙁 Poor Chao. Only live for 4-5 years. I have one at 3 (probably got loads at 3) so he/she's getting on now, must prepare with fruit & petting! 🙄 One thing you must try avoiding (if you can); don't catch two Chaos trying to die, unless they both in water, got no chance of saving both. You'd probably have to pick. 🙁
Shadow game only £30, thought it would sell for £40. Want to get it for xmas, but I may get a Fantasy Sword (£50) & remote control Dalek (£50) from mum so...may have to buy it myself. Couldn't buy it today; had to use money for presents & didn't have enough anyway.

It's not necessarily the fact that it uses guns and cars that makes it naff, it's because Sonic has never worked in 3D, and the whole Shoadow spin-off game reeks of formulaic repetition.
The Sonic Adventure games are dire. Sonic Heroes was abysmal, and Shadow The Hedhog is just as bad, but unlike the others, Shadows game has lost that simplistic likability factor that the old school 2D ones once prided themselves with.
It's just Sonic Adventure, a game that I thought was amazingly average, except all "urbanised" and "cool". It's such a boring, lame and in my opinion, rediculous concept. The lack of context and a distinct style is also troubling. To see the likes of Dr. Robotnik mixing it up with real-style Earth humans is just bizarre, and the constant references of the real world makes me wonder just what Team Sonic are thinking.
Lets face facts here, if Sonic wasn't such a big hit back on the Megadrive, these new 3d games would be dismissed as average granny-tricking platformer crap and it's only in the hope that maybe, one day, Sonic will return to his past glory, that is actually keeping the franchise alive.
I just have a problem with Sonic games not being Sonic games. Sonic is 2D, high speed platforming with bright and colourful, interesting visuals. Shadows game is as far from a good Sonic-like game you could come up with.
I view Shadow as a victim of the machine that is the video games industry. Video games are really starting to bore me in general, save a few.
Only 360 & PS3!? What about the Revelution? I probably getting PS3 anyway but not a 360! 😘 What game is this? I haven't heard about it. But please...you gotta have Knuckles, he's the best. Tails!?
If you don't like Sonic in 3D, fair enough. If you don't, you don't, but I like it in 2D & 3D but 3D more; they are more fun instead of just running about. Looking for Emerald pieces is my favourite. The bosses are more in depth too instead of just bashing Robotnik's machine. ✅
