I personally hate it, and everything it stands for, but that doesn't mean someone won't enjoy it.
I'm getting Sonic Rush after playing it on a friends DS, looking forward to that. Even though I have a PSP I am really looking forward to getting my DS, Mario Kart and Sonic Rush.
I never look at user reviews to be honest.
First of all, they are hardly experts.
Secondly, they have likely bought the game, meaning that acts as bias. They bought it, so they throw in a few extra marks just because they bought it and don't want to be seen as owning a poor game.
Thirdly, most people that bought it/were given it probably didn't read the reviews, obviously. They are likely to be kids that don't have a clue about what makes a good game, due to the fact they were still in their dads scrotum when Sonic used to actually be good.
If you like it, fair enough, but user ratings mean very little to me without some sort of feedback system. You can usually tell if the user base is retarded by the posts they put up. If I see a post by people who have names like "supersaiyangoku13" who post stuff like "it iz wick£d, diss lets u be powerfool!" then I usually steer well clear.

Not in my point of view. Shadow is a good game because if you go to reviews where actual players rate it they normally give it a 8.5
but anywho rented this piece of crap wasted good money too i used to be a sonic fan but these new things are crap i hated this its is like impossible to shoot anything and the camera is terrible i quit okaying after a short while i give this game a 3 out of 10

I just got this game, it's not that good. 🙁 I'm dissapointed. Like some of you stated, the camera is terribele & there's no lock shooting so trying to shoot something misses most of the time.
The controls, well, this is even worse! It angers me! One, Shadow moves way too fast to know where you're going & to keep up with & two, well, the controls are just bad! Graphics aren't exactly fantastic either...
It's a good job I didn't go down town & pay £30 for the game. I went somewhere else & got it for only £20 so can't complain too much. 😬 Jak X makes up for this though, got that for only £20 too! 😊
I just recently got this game with some christmas money and got it over Sonic Heroes. I've liked Shadow since his first apperance, and yet I was plesently surprised by the game itself. It is now without flaws and there have been times where I have simply tried a target jump, hit the enemy and gone sailing over the edge into death. The use of choosing your own path is good, yet the level designs are very much opinion. I found it so frustrating chasing Eggman on Neutral when battling the three Shadow androids...until i got a targeted rocket-launcher and blasted them to pieces. I've also tested the good and evil sides for a few levels, but find myself going back to neutral for my first stab at completing the game. The use of the guns is a little wierd in my opinion, but they help, but I did want something more from a Shadow-based game. I'm now waiting for a Metal Sonic based game.
It took me about 1 hour to finish dark mode on first level! You gotta shoot all 35 guards which is a right hard task! The last 4 were a challenge to find! Only way to find them was to get my blue bar full & go through some of the level while destroying what's around me.
This wasn't the first time I finished the level though, I finished in normal mode first time. Music good though, love 'I Am' I think it's called. Too bad the game isn't has good as it's music. 😬 cry
