Can you get me verifiable proof on that? The original X-Box pretty much bombed in Japan, and it was only after TGS that anyone (still a very small percentage) over there really looked at it. Nintendo doesn't consider the 360 a threat.
Also, even over here in America, the 360 couldn't possibly mess up sales. People who want to buy Zelda are going to buy Zelda, regardless of what other systems are coming out. Some people I know have had it pre-ordered ever since last year.
And finally, consider common sense. They're working on the coding. That's what makes the games look and play like it does. Why would Nintendo release one version of the game in Japan, and then rework the coding for the American version? It's just not the way it works.

Sports games come out on all 3 consoles. Aside from GTA, you have Metal Gear Solid, Sly Cooper Trilogy, Ratchet & Clank, Jak & Daxter, God Of War, Devil May Cry trilogy. You fanboys make me laugh.
On a side note: Mega Man games have been released for GameCube and Playstation 2, so you are wrong there. As well as Star Wars games come out for all 3 consoles, not just XBox. War games come out for XBox and Ps2. I can go on if you want me too that badly. 🙄

Ok, I have to admit Jak and Daxter, Jak 2, and Jak 3, are good games... but the X-box has Halo, and the PS2 is more of a Sports Game system... WHAT ARE WE DOING!? we are talking about the X-box, and PS2 in a Zelda forum! oh and one more thing, like Megaman, Final Fantisy started on NINTENDO!
