I think you have to beat him in 1:01 because in the article it said a specific time I think.

It's IMPOSSIBLE TO BEAT THE RUNNING MAN.

The game's code is written so that the running man ALWAYS gets there before you, unless you cheat with the gameshark. Even if you could get there in 1:01, he'd be there first. It's just an extra thing added to the game to increase play time. You CANNOT win.

Of course. I beat him. You got the Bunny Hood, I believe. You just had to use Epona to win.

Uh... no you don't... You get the bunny hood from the Happy mask shop.

OK, now I've gotta try that some time soon. Has any one heard about a cactus in Alttp that you sprinkle the magic powder on and it turns into a girl in? A guy I know from school says he did it, but I'm not sure I believe him.

I think I may have done that once but it was a long time ago so I may be mistaken...

Miyamoto told an interviewer that you cannot beat the running man, no matter how fast you move. If you had actually read the previous quote closely, you would have seen:

That doesn't look to me like he's saying you have to win. That looks like he's saying that entering the race sets up a unique situation somewhere else, which, after you find it, makes the change in question. So try reading what people say.

And don't insult others without basis. That's the kind of thing that gets you kicked out.

He MUST be there for a reason. You talk to him & off you go taking the challenge. But he's there even if you beat the time so maybe not...but...

I don't know why people have difficult beating him. Maybe because foreign versions are different. I DID win against him. I remember you had to do it under a certain time to win.

Well To get back on topic...I was a the video game store that a few blocks from my house and saw pre orders for Zelda Twlight Pricess and they where giving discounts for the people who had ordered the game the first go around. 😄

Makes sense. I've had a preorder ever since the beginning of this year, I better get a discount for the wait I'm going through to play it.
