About 35 to beat, and that file's now up to 50 with the sidequests and just plain running around I've been doing. Hyrule is pretty.

I'm 12 hours into my second file, after completing certain story events after the third dungeon.

So after you beat the game you can still run around and do other stuff that you missed or skipped earlier on?

Hahah. "......running around I've been doing. HYRULE IS PRETTY." funny

So you're playing on 2 files?

SO I'm guessing that certain things you can't come back to do after you get to a certain point huh?

WELL IT IS!!!

And as for beating the game, it doesn't save after completion. So that file is pretty much exploring and looking for shiny stuff now that the final boss is the only story piece left.

Well you can't kill bosses after you've killed them once... but the different areas stay open at all times, so you can, say, nip back in and grab a heart piece you missed the first time through.

Well defeating a boss after you've already defeated it is impossible I know. I was referring to when you said you were 12 hrs in on a second file after..........but I guess I took it wrong. I don't know.

So the second file you're playing is just a 2nd play through then?

anata wa wakarimasu ka.....

Yeah, just a second playthrough. Plenty of the story sequences were incentive enough, but I figured I might as well attempt a 100% completion run while I'm enjoying the plot.

Did I mention how beautiful the water looks.

I like to just walk around and swim in it for no reason.

I love how they show Link's wetness when he gets out of the water.

His clothing material is a darker color b/c of the dampness and he drips.

I also love the music he plays with the grass when summoning the Hawk. It's has this feeling to it unlike anything I've heard, if that makes since.

I love the character design. Ok...........let's see what else I love......I love how I have no idea where Epona is ahora mismo. DON'T TELL ME!!!

If you would notice, IceJaw and kamikz, MadMel DID try to use a spoilers tag. It just got crapped up.

Maybe a mod could fix that?

As for Emma, saying that a cat, a fish, and a hawk exist within the game can hardly qualify as spoilers.

I wasn't arguing that anyone spoiled anything for me, I simply said that we should not be punished for being curious about checking a thread for an incredible game without having it spoiled for us! Not that anything was spoiled for me, just saying, since getting the reply to leave if you haven't completed the game ain't exactly fair!

whats with this at the end of your sentances?

Anata wa wakarimasu ka.....

Kamikz, I agree, I mainly come to this thread to read about how good the game is.

Ooccoo can be used whenever you like. The other part appears when you decide to warp out.

I have used that function, though, to stop when I'm deep in a dungeon so I don't have to walk back.

20 hours is a time period for people who have been playing Zelda all their lives, who know the series formulas and as a result know exactly what they have to do when they see a new puzzle. And who don't play the sidequests.

Oh, and the story is about to seriously ramp up for you. You've got some of the more memorable sequences coming up.

I've been playing Zelda all my life and currently my playtime is 61 hours and I just started the

Spoiler:
Sky Temple
. I suppose I COULD have finished the game in 35 hours or so, but thats not how your supposed to play Zelda games. You'd think that people who have played the series all they're lives would know that. Zelda is about exploring, taking things in. Not rushing through the game just to complete it, the completion of the game is supposed to come naturally while exploring. Thats what makes Zelda Zelda. I dont understand people who blew through this game in like 30 hours, I'd never do it even if I could, its basically just throwing away a masterpiece of a game when you should be savouring it.

I agree with you totally, Anomaly. On my part, however, I sort of dropped the exploration because I really got caught up in the plot. I will not be surprised if my current more relaxed playthrough clocks in at over 70 hours.

the plot = excellent.. 😄

So I have to ask this because of my curiosity

Spoiler:
I just finished the Sky Temple and I put the Mirror of Twilight back together and am now at the Twilight Castle (Fortress?). So how close am I to the end of the game?
I had to ask, just cause I want to know lol.

wouldnt know personally

Spoiler:
im still in the forest temple 😂

Haha, that seems like so long ago...

Cherish it though, you've got a hell of a game, no, a hell of an adventure ahead of you. This game rules, its the best game I've played in years, without a doubt. Not since the Metroid Prime have I been so enthralled about a game, it just rocks.

hahaha i finally caught a fish last night lol 😐

funny

That really was a challenge for you then wasn't it.

So how long did it take you. Did you stop everything in the game until you caught a fish?

Rather close.

Spoiler:
The Twilight Castle is the second to last dungeon in the game. I'm sure you can figure out what the last one is.

Indeed. I was surprised that there was nothing between dungeon 7 and dungeon 8. You go from one to the other almost instantly.

I cant' wait to get home and start playing this game again.

I remember that feeling. 😛

For the first week I had the Wii, my girlfriend was staying with me, so I had to moderate my gaming and spending time with her, but I kept hearing the Wii calling my name. 🙄
