It's not the Dark Side. GL presents it as the right thing to do, therefore it is not, Mace HAD to kill Sidious, in the same way Anakin eventually had to, It was the only way.

End of story.

you forgot 2 things:

1: by keeping dooku alive they would have known for certain who the sith lord was (whether it was him or someone else) so you could say that he was too useful to be killed. when palps was confronted, the cat was already out of the bag.

2: mace knew that the sith lord controlled the senate and the courts, and that it would be impossible to legally try him for his crimes. he had to end the crisis in an unorthodox way by simply executing him right there. anakin had no knowledge that keeping dooku alive would result in him immediately being set free. he only killed dooku out of a thirst for revenge, with no thought for the good of the republic.

NOW....end of story 😛

well put, PVS.

You know Mace Windu's lightsaber combat style draws strength from emotion like angry. So every time he uses his light saber he is basically drawing strenght from the dark side.

Yeah, he does. He's not fighting like Obi or Yoda. I always thought the part where he raises his saber to strike palps was a pure act of anger.
