Then we have somewhat of an agreeance. Spiritual powers exist.

But if one believes in spiritual power then logically one also believes in magic. After all, the Bible is warning people of the occult because it is a real and tangible threat to them, because of course demons and dark magics exist, and a person will be caught up in that and corrupted. Or are you saying the Bible was scaremongering and trying to keep people away from a fiction?

I am saying that demons can perform "magic". The Bible warns against it because such things corrupt the soul and draw one away from God.

Then spiritual power does exist, and so does magic. It is simply, in the Christian faith, the spiritual power (that is from God etc) is more powerful (or more right) then the magical power.

Yes.

Thank goodness we got that cleared up.

cleared up eh....

If god is more powerful, then why did he create the demons?

why doesnt destroy the demons?

it makes no sense.

Very true. OK then, God gave all his creation free will. Satan turned on him and took 1/3 of the angels with him. They hate God and attempt to draw as many people as possible away from him. God always gives us choice.

I wasnt aware that angels were given free will.

Many people say that they were created without free will, but I have never seen evidence of this. Of course, I am open to the idea that they were not, in which case I would have to rethink my theology on the subject.

do you have any passages that state that they have free will?

Don't need them. Satan betrayed God of his own accord, and this is evidence of free will. Therefore, evidence is needed to prove that he didn't have free will.

no. thats not evidence. There are tons of contradictions in the bible.

You don't knwo that god didnt create Satan and Lucifer, makes them do everyhting.

But God created Satan as one of the highest angels. He fell later as shown in the Bible meaning that God did not create Satan to be the devil, but that Satan exercised free will.
