This is what I admire about you Brits, you guys take action and go to town when your safety is threatened. Here in America, every whining liberal and aging radical starts shouting shit about civil rights. America should learn from you guys that the only way to ensure safety is to act and act regardless of what the unpopular section thinks.

In America we worry about terrorists so much but yet allow every aging liberal hippe and radical college professor in the ACLU's honor rolls dictate what we do and when. Makes me sick some days.

Goddamn right. Like with this new thing in New York with the bag searches..noone's rights are being violated. If someone refuses to a search, they don't ride the train. Noone's twisting their arm. Fair enough.

I'd rather have 5 to 10 minutes of my time taken up to ensure my safety and everyone else's in the train. You can spare some time for safety's sake or you can risk another attack. The choice is simple.

what the problem with the 9/11 attacks is that America could have prevented it. if there security was more harsh then the terrorists would have been caught before they got into the planes. someone was being a little lazy that day.

Roosevelt knew japan was going to bomb pearl harbor but he didn't do any thing about it until pearl harbor was bombed.

Well it also could have been prevented if a certain Mr. Clinton listened to the Saudis and Kuwaitis when they told him Osama was in Kenya and the Sudan backin the 90's. But no, Clinton sat back and imposed gun bans, kowtowed to pro-drug and pro abortion groups, and screwed with Monica Lewinsky. And as a result of THAT inaction, we lost our embassies in Sudan and Kenya and the first WTC attack took place.

9-11 is no one administration's fault, as we now see that it's a result of a chain of failures. What suprises me abuot Clinton is despite all this, he said not actin in Rwanda was his biggest regret as a president. Good one, Bill.

Clinton had nothing else better to do than have an affair with Monica Lewinsky. Clinton so far is the most liberal president I have seen. I wouldn't be anyone who voted for Clinton anyway. Which proves to me that the ACLU had their hands in it again..what would have happened if these guys were stopped with arrest?

The ACLU would start with profiling allegations, racial abuse, ect. and the guys would have been able to escape thru the loophole of the lack of definition of the phrase "enemy combatant." So while the attacks would have been stopped and many lives saved, the anger and resentment over picking on "a few poor Muslims" would have probably wound up making more anger and hatred. Save a few thousand people but become evil profiling racist bastards in the process. You just can't win.

Well Clinton's next big idea is in 2006-after becoming UN general secretary, he and Hillary want to make all private gun ownership in America illegal. Save for government officials and police and military. Good one Bill. Re write the 2nd Amendment for you and your buddies and make it a crime for ordinary citizens to trap shoot, hunt,and enjoy recreational shooting. Handing our constitution over to the UN? here we go...the Beta version of Socialist America.

Proposals for UN security to be mobilized to assist in the disarmament have also been proposed. Imagine UN Blue Helmets coming into YOUR house, and taking YOUR rights away?
