Yep, whilst stats should be used in any debate, characters have been known to exceed their assumed limits. Take Wolverine for example, by channeling the faith of the fanboy, he can become almost Godlike...........

Comic book feats can be quite inconsistant for anyone, so aren't 100% reliable.
As it's been shown Wolverine seems to be slower against well established characters, but is incredibly fast against expendable characters. . .

I think it depends. If someone does a stuff only one or two times, and the never does it again in his comics, then it isn't true...but when someone does the same stuff in every comic they are in, and it isn't mentioned in his profile, we shouldn't count it.
Now, if it takes Wolverine minute to heal from bullet wounds in nearly every comic he is in, but he regenerates from a cell in one comic, we shouldn't go by that one comic. We should go by the majority.

Funny thing I was reading old school wolverine, where he was fighting sabretooth, sabretooth slashed him once across the ribs, and after the fight, professor x and storm took him to the infirmary to commence healing.

Well same could be said for Ock. I am sure the new one you posted(you guys even said new and upgraded version after finding out around page 50) so how come you pic the upgraded Ock but its not ok for some one to pick the upgraded storm...you know who you are. This thread is Wolverine Vs Doc Ock the one that been there the longest. Ok thats clearified.

The one that has been the longest IS the same Ock. You should have clarified that he is the Old Ock. I thought that you meant current one. I have never said that Storm's upgrades shouldn't be used, I just think that they are stupid. Which I think that Ock's upgrades are stupid too. But he has them.

I am sure some others didnt think the new ock, untill you brought it up. Since you brought it up then you probbally did think that ock but the others said nothing. If they all thought new upgraded killer ock, then it wouldnt of lasted 50 something pages.
also I think Wolverine has a chance against the new Ock(upgraded one) and can pull of a couple wins, but definitly not the majority

I already said before the beginning that ock wins, we go by current.
Its not a damned upgrade like you are talking about, its nothing really new, no different than spiderman.

Then Wolverine's speed should be considered, seeing as how he fights people with guns all the time.
He only seems to be slower against well established characters that are not expendable.
But more often than not and seemingly when fighting unknowns, or when the fight is not involved he moves at incredible speeds that as was said would not be outside the range of a martial artist.
And he seems to heal faster.
He really does seem to be depowered for fights with unknowns, presumably to make the fight more interesting. . .
