The new Otto IS the old one, and the same one. With new tentacles and look.
I hate you, Marvel, and your never-ending, movie-based changes.
In any case...
New Otto would win this. His tentacles have individual A.I. and can thus 'think', react, and act on their own. Apparently, they have a reaction time swift enough to move into the path of an incoming bullet and they're obviously strong enough to take one, so it's unknown whether or not they're made of adamantium (whether or not Wolvie can cut them). Whereas Old Ock would have had to direct his tentacles consciously, making them far slower and easier for Logan to deal with, this is now too much for him, I think.

lol, they always change.
I'm loving DC's writing more now...
Though I love marvels characters more, thats just how it is....

Hell yes. I used to be strictly Marvel, but lately, I've been moving more and more towards DC and I'm really beginning to enjoy most of their characters. I still dislike Supes for the most part, but on the flip-side, the Green Arrow is way cooler than Hawkeye, IMO.

I could agree with this assessment....even then I still think wolverine has a shot..but his chances seem slimmer now...

What have you been reading?
I finished a Teen Titans. Its not new, but I like how Superboy is in conflict with his own DNA, and how Wondergirl has conflict with the death of another member.
I also liked how DS's son, Jericho, was a body jumper, and how impulse became kid flash, and can read superfast.
Watching him and DS fight was great.

Lately? I haven't read much of anything anywhere. Really trying to catch up with things I've already missed, such as Daredevil: Redemption, and trying to go back to some back issues of Batman, Green Arrow, etc. Trying to find the Deathstroke and Azrael titles.
I got some catching up to do, been on the eastern side for awhile, alot more manga than comics, but usually manga comes out faster, or it is in better supply.

So is this now done? With the appearance of Doc Ock's (unnecessary, gimmicky) current incarnation, does Wolverine now lose in a one-on-one fight? Spider-Man seemed only to be able to get in at Ock by surprising him, and even then, was swiftly met with two tentacles.
Yes, our fair mediatior, this is done....
it obviously goes down like this...
wolvi charges, ock catches him, ock lifts him into the air, ock has breakfast, ock drinks coffee, ock goes to a baseball game, ock fights spiderman, ock has lunch, ock goes to the k-mart and fights dr. doom with ray guns made out of CD's, ock has dinner at Olive Garden, ock goes home, ock watches law&order, ock goes to bed, ock wakes up, ock brushes his teeth, ock smells goat @$$ and realizes he still has wolverine in his grasp, ock kills him. the end
Ock was cooler though as a old Ock...a man who would win through skills and experience...here is a fight with him and Carlyle, a guy who was faster, stronger, had two extra tentacles and had more gimmicks then Ock. And Ock still put up a major fight.

Thats the comic I said, and I also said that the tentacles reacted, but...
