I don't think the number is to high but true some Americans know nothing about us, while we know so much about the US. Also by travelling in both countries a lot i would say Canadians are little bit more sane and less paranoid.

What I did state is not insults, but it's only a demonstration of how ill is geography taught nowadays in the U.S. At least, in Quebec, we have world geography as a mandatory subject in Secondary 1 and world history in Secondary 2, for I live there.

We have it mandatory for 12 years.

You're lucky, because it is not anywhere that U.S. students can get it. I thought they would teach U.S. history and geography mandatory for 12 years.

Hahahaha.

Well shucks, Jed. You're right. Anyone who doesn't want to go to unjustified war and kill lots of innocent people must no longer be a man.

I am glad we finally see eye to eye ol chap. About time you saw the light.

well here in Ontario its taught in grade 5 (Mostly about Rome, Greeks)
then about Canadian History from grade 6-8. Then once again in grade 10. There is geography in grade 6-9. Thats how it is here. Then its optional in grade 11 and 12 and a lot of people take it.

Grade 10 history class was actually very interesting. A lot of students do know about WW2 but some students live under a rock. Also my History teacher really disliked BUSH.

Canadian history is taught in 5th and 6th grade as well as geography. My 5th and 6th grade teachers taught us a little bit about Ancient Egypt, Greece and Rome as well as the Middle Ages.

I find it funny that France are made fun of specifically by Americans for not wanting to go to war.

Does anybody besides me find that....I dunno, dumb?

France: We don't want to join you in war.
U.S: Hahahaha. Pussies.

Kinda ridiculous when you spell it out.

Well I really can't blame the French, because they were beaten by the British almost every time they fought them, and then by the Germans,(in Sedan and in WW1 and 2) and then the Viet Minh from 1955 to 1965 in Indochina (Vietnam for you young un's) and Americas came and rescued them in evac operations that led to the Gulf Of Tonkin incident that officially saw us going to war in uncle Ho's jungle.

The French hate war so much because they're not that good at it. Yeah America might be doing badly in Iraq, but Frenchie has a longer track record of ineptitude in the art of war. Now maybe if they used actual weapons instead of throwing wine and chesse... 😛

i love Canada and Canadiens. they produced great sports such as hockey and lacrosse, how can you NOT like them?!

Well i lost faith in the American people when bush got rel elected and as many Canadians did as well. However its nice to see many Americans (59%) not disapprove of the war.

drop the bush shit already. people make it seem like he's the root of all evil and the wolrd was perfect before he took office. oh, those were the days. 😕

I know but he acts like the world is a better place because of him. Which it is not.

I heard this before from other people and I agree.

It's as if the Democrats created Adam and Eve and the Garden Of Eden and Bush is the serpent who made Eve (aka Heinz Kerry or her stand in Hillary Clinton) eat the apple. I have absolutely no respect for Kerry at all-sure Bush might not have went to Vietnam, but neither did Clinton OR his little buddy Ted Kennedy, oh and I noticed Bobby Kennedy stayed home too. For some reason the CCR song "Fortunate Son" comes to mind.

Not to mention Kerry slamming our military and making bald face liars out of his Swift Boat buddies and going home after 4 months when his comrades spent years of their lives in Vietnam prisons. Oh and that AWOL visit to a female Vietcong political rep in Paris in 1971...good one Kerry. Nice to see you wore your uniform so well...😠

Not to mention that the man wants all of America's guns and failing in that, heavier taxes on guns OR the ability to sue gun companies for the actions of criminals (S 397 The Lawful Commerce In Arms Act.) Not to mention the fact that as Dennis Hastert said, Al Qaeda would feel safer if he were in office.

Yeah, Bush may not be the brightest bulb in the pack, but voting for a thinly velied Socialist is no ticket to win either...

Well I'll give you the support on the wine, in the old Shaw Borthers film "Kid With The Golden Arm" the self titled villian was blinded by a mouthful of wine spit out at his eyes, so I guess we can give wine a bit of the benefit of the doubt here 🙂

LOL Bush would have lost to clinton though handsdown.
