Don't speak for me.....

You tell 'em, Debs. There's no way we have the biggest slingshot in the world.

Just remember this too-YOU guys could have been under British rule too if noone had stood up and did somehting. Taxes? You bet, YOU'D have paid them too just as we were doing. 😉

What are you on about, we were still British up until like 1931 😛
Not to mention we didn't want to be liberated during the American Revolution, we liked it just fine!

I think this needs some input from Homer Simpson.

"Why should we leave America to go to America JR?"

"England is like our distant brother. Not like that goodie two shoes Canada. Who, by the way, has never had a girlfriend."

I partly agree with this statement, even though "specific" americans will disagree.

it IS the overall mind set that the US has towards itself and others.

this is the exact reason that the US is hated globally so much.

(so much so that americans on vaction are now pretending to be Canadian because they are treated far better)

I know that there is some independant poll that states that 80% of U.S. citizens don't even know where Canada is. This is a major problem that might give Canada a diplomatic edge in the future (especially in the way of negotiating) if nothing is done.

and 100% of people who quote false figures to prove their point are tools.
now quit insulting the intelligence of americans as well as canadians and admit that your figures are baseless and pure fiction.

So that would make you a what? 🙄
I dislike people who resort to insults to prove a point....

I don't think the number is to high but true some Americans know nothing about us, while we know so much about the US. Also by travelling in both countries a lot i would say Canadians are little bit more sane and less paranoid.

We generally hate on Americans more than they do us.

Most Canadians I meet are jackasses who like to not help.

got you again trebek, muahah. 😉

The U.S. is the most hated on and 'made fun of' country, next to France of course. So to cry about Americans dissing Canadians is just stupid.

I find it funny that France are made fun of specifically by Americans for not wanting to go to war.

Does anybody besides me find that....I dunno, dumb?

France: We don't want to join you in war.
U.S: Hahahaha. Pussies.

Kinda ridiculous when you spell it out.

Well..it is true.

😮‍💨

Hahahaha.

Well shucks, Jed. You're right. Anyone who doesn't want to go to unjustified war and kill lots of innocent people must no longer be a man.

Yeah well we didn't...the British could have always stayed in Canada and left N. America alone. Just because you wanted it, dosen't mean it was right for us..

To continue the topic, Americans make fun of France quite a bit, whether it be in every day life, or on shows like the Simpsons or Family Guy. Kinda ironic seeing as how 2/3rds of the soldiers at the battle of Yorktown-the battle that ended the Revolutionary War-were French.

They were just looking for a chance to get back at the British, they didn't care about us. C'mon. now...

Another thing, I find it funny how France talks about how America is so corrupt, yet they allow ANY and ALL manner of scumbags and lowlifes into the Foreign Legion in return for citizenship. Nice way to fill your ranks there, huh?

I'm from British Columbia (In Canada) and i think this thread is freakin' stupid!

How do you know there isn't more Canadians making fun of Americans?

The French arn´t rediculed because of thier anti iraq war stance, but thier general "frenchness". They weren´t the only country which didn´t choose to take part in an illegal war.

I don´t believe that 80% of US folk don´t know where Canada is, that would be too dumb. That they never knew where Afgahnistan or maybe Kuwait was is more like it, I didn´t know the Falklands even excisted until the war started, like most Uk folk.

Most Canadians I meet are jackasses who like to not help.

I doubt an American would be more helpful then a Canadian.

Yes i would say there are a lot of crazy people in the US. However we have our fair share here but the crazy (religious people with crazy ideas) in the US have power and support. However most people are regular nice folk and i wish to travel more down south.
