John Constantine (Hellblazer) vs. Batman

Started by BstrdMan4 pages

Interesting idea... But it wouldn't matter, as he conned his way out of cancer.

he reminds me of lupin the 3rd of his buisness.

Lupin's a screwball and horny as hell.
John's... not a nice person, but he puts on an act that puts most actors to shame.

john isnt nice?

Hell no. It's kinda like some people you might know.. They're complete and utter bastards, but you like them anyway.. You just don't know why.
He has his friends, right... And they like him for his roguish charm... But he'll do what he needs to save his own skin.

oooh, he is the emodiment of trickery??? if so is he more tricky than Loki?

Mmmm. It's hard to say. It's hinted at in The Books of Magic, that he is the Jack of Dreams, Fools, and Trades, a unique entity near the actual death of the universe, along with the Heirophant, the Leige and his Lady, the Lovers.. etc.. Embodiments and Collections of all the souls that have coaleced near the End. Timothy Hunter keeps insisting that he is John Constantine.

But remember both know eachother and Bats wouldn't give Constantine any time. Like it said at the beggining of the thread both act in character.

reviving all the bat threads eh?

Too predictable...

Its obviously a crap thread, let it go merc...

Noone likes the thread, or you...

I agree, now im actually gonna be SERIOUS so hear me out,
Strange is the worlds trickiest mortal, but Batman is the world smartes mortal at what he does, he knows strange and knows about his shady character, he is too smart to be talked down or killed, if he has prep he could kill galactus and thanos at the same time.(i have an idea on how, but dont make me write it please just take my word)

Ummmmm...Strange you say?

Constantine...my bad just got through watching sweedish gay porn.... 😖hifty:

Well I guess if you have to watch gay porn Swedish is the way to go.

But help me out here, who do you think wins?

You just want someone to say batman, fanboy...

batman....hes too smart

im going with Constantine. I bet he can think of a way to beat bats with a little magic and trickery. Ive read all about constantine and also read one of his comics. he aint a easy guy to take down and from what Ive read and studied hes also fearless. I mean Constantine has been in hell and back, fought demons, seen things people havent seen and hes seen the devil himself(I think so).

Yeah but remember that Constantine gets his way because allot of people, demons, gods etc. get caught monologuing or let Constantine talk. You think Bats would give him the time he needs?

This IS interesting! From what I've heard Hellblazer tricked the devil. (Never read a Vertigo comic before..) But remember: Batman's GOD..

So this would be a good fight, but considering I have no real knowledge to the extent of Hellblazer, I'm going to go with Batman..

What's your idea? After all, that is the prototypical argument for a Batman fanboy. Oh, Batman is God, he could do anything with preparation, even take down God, who he is, but don't make me explain how, because I'm not as smart as Batman. Oh, him, the Batman can take him, just give him a stick of gum, a can of grease, and an hour, and he'll find a way; he's the Batman. Oh, he can take down *insert omniscient character here*, because he's the Batman, and he's more than a man, he's a legend. Seriously, he is a master at what he does, and with the time and knowledge requisite to take down a threat that is basically unstoppable by the rest of the cosmos, he can think of a way to do it. But, keep in mind, that the Batman is not a Victor Von Doom, or a Reed Richards, he doesn't have the ability to just, out of the blue, pull out of his trusty utility belt the salvation of mankind time after time. He can't work off nothing, both data and technology-wise. Most, if not all, of his victories, are either circumstantial, or rely on the indefatigable technology of the New Gods, which is whatever the situation calls for, from remarkably sapient and cerebral computers, to puerile attempts at an all-encompassing travel device that puts you in your place, be that oblivion, the end of time, another dimension, or, most unusually, your destination. There is a limit to his abilities, and no matter how great that ceiling seems to be, its there, and it will be reached when you pit him against opponents such as Thanos or Galactus, who are not just more powerful than him, but are also, by far, more intelligent.

On-topic, it depends on the type of battle. If they just meet on the street, and Batman decides to incapacitate him, for whatever reason that pops into his addled brain, the little gray cells of both of these people won't matter, no matter how vast in quantity they are. In this case, with only three minutes of prep, not much will get done. For Batman, most likely literally nothing will have been accomplished, as, with the limited amount of time given him in this situation, there's not much he can do. Constantine, however, is a mage, and no matter how low on the ladder he is compared to some of his fellow mystics, such as Strange, he might be able to, so to speak, pull one out of his hat, as such a short amount of time seems ideal for a sorcerer of John's abilities to prepare, enough time to ready something, but not enough time for the other side to nullify whatever you have ready. In this case, I say the chain-smoking Englishman wins this. Also, in a fight between Dr. Stephen Strange and Batman, Strange could likely just kick his ass with his martial arts.
