ok.... you've heard of Parallax? (seemed to be Hal Jordan taking a new name after absorbing the power battery then going on to rewrite the universe)
well that's not who he is.... Parallax is a cosmic type entity, the GL rings operate on willpower and he operates on fear... he is powered by all the fear in the universe.... GL's power is green because that is the equivalent colour on the supposed *cough* "emotional electromagnetic spectrum" *coughbullshitcough* and the colour for fear is yellow..... (how imaginative) .... the guardians couldn't defeat parallax so they imprisoned him inside the central power battery and he is the reason they are weak against yellow..... Hal let him out when he absorbed the battery and that's why Kyle's ring never had the yellow weakness
basically he's a giant yellow monster
these days the weakness is still there.... but they can overcome it if they really want to.... 😕
