Fisto, it's not Lightning per say. And no Jedi uses Lightning. Yoda can deflect it, and knows the technique inside out, but none ever use it.

According to the Jedi Council Forums Plo Koon Discussion thread, he can. And don't threaten to report me when I just registered today.

He already answered that, his race is capable of channeling electricity through their fingertips, it's not that he uses force lightning. Offensive force spells like Grip, Lightning, Rage, etc. are against Jedi ideology. Hence why there is so much symbolism when Anakin force chokes Padme.

In TPM Aayla's still a Padawan of no greater skill than Obi-Wan so Maul.

aayla gets PWN in less than 3 mins cause shes a padawan at a lower level than obiwan in tpm so darth maul takes this
