as far as dd goes: darkseid said (and dd's own origin supports) the fact that he evolves beyond attacks. how far, no one really knows yet. but at his peak (do you even know what that was or where?) he was WAAAYYYYYY beyond even a new god enhanced supes, had evolved beyond massive energy attacks and superman-enhanced physical ones. he was faster AND stronger than amped supes and still evolved in a later incarnation beyond THAT one!! what is it that you're not getting? in a comic, thanos would never battle this thing -- hell, he's leary of fighting the friggin hulk! he's too smart to fight something like dd -- he would know he could/would lose.
and you STILL -- for the third time -- have not said how thanos would win in a brawl?? no gadgets or or trickery, pure brawl. so?

you know how strong lobo is right? well even in DOS superman claimed that doomsday's strength and raw power didn't even BEGIN to compare to lobo's....then multiply that by 3 then multiply that by 2........you're looking at some VVVVVERY serious base strength......key word being base...and those are relatively low estimates considering feats.......giving thanos the benifit of the doubt...and things STILL look pretty grim for him....

I want to agree with your final assessment...but I just don't see how in a 1 on 1...I'm sure thanos could very well outsmart him and APPEAR victorious without gaining a victory like he did champ...I just don't see how....can thanos generate enough power in his energy blasts to replicate 1,000,000, that's right a million, nukes going off simultaniously?
if he can't then he won't beat dd with those.
if he's not stronger than dd he won't beat dd with strength...
so how then?

Its one of the best assements i've read on the mattter of Thanos. 🙂
D.C. consistently works on a slightly higher level than Marvel.
Most D.C. Higher tier characters = low level Cosmic Marvel beings.
E.g. Superman would give Silver Surfer a good fight.
There are far to many Marvel Maniacs who think Thanos is alot more powerful than he actually is.(N.b. I prefer Marvel to D.C. but i'm not blinded by my Love)
I see Thanos as a cosmic version of Doctor Doom. That makes him a real Badasss, but he's not 'all powerful'.
