Doomsday vs Thanos

if you got nothing to do read the onslaught/thanos thread. i had a good war with galacticstorm. not sure who won, but it was a good debate. if you know onslaught, jump in on one side or the other.

this was actually one of my favourite threads of all time. some good, solid debating done here by BOTH sides. as i recall cc, you were left somewhere in the middle on this one but maybe leaning to thanos. not completely sure . . .

Wait, at first, Lobo was stronger than DD?

What other way is it possible to beat DD other than BFR?

According to a dream I had, Thanos can take Flash, GL Hal Jordan, Namor, and Batman all at once.

I was on the Thanos side. From what I've seen Thanos is almost as impervious to any sort of damage as Doomsday is. I'll have to see which direction the debate took.

Depends on your philosophy.

Every text I've seen says Doomsday is able to adapt and overcome any opponent. Some beleive that Doomsday can evolve and become totally immune to a certain means of attack, not just develop a resistance against it.

Which is in fact quite illogical.

I mean, no one ever killed Doomsday using physical attacks before he faced Superman in DOS?

Thanos outsmarted Champion, so I think finding victory over Doomsday is quite likely for him, if not physically then strategically.

When they fought, Champion, had infinite strength, and total invulnerability to physical attack via the Infinity Power Gem, mind you.

that has ALWAYS been my contention -- thanos is certainly capable of winning by using his brains. lock them both in an impenetrable shield, no added tech, no gadgets, just their own power, (ie a place where thanos has no plan to fall back on) and i think the highest evolved dd has at least an even chance of winning.

I want to agree with your final assessment...but I just don't see how in a 1 on 1...I'm sure thanos could very well outsmart him and APPEAR victorious without gaining a victory like he did champ...I just don't see how....can thanos generate enough power in his energy blasts to replicate 1,000,000, that's right a million, nukes going off simultaniously?

if he can't then he won't beat dd with those.

if he's not stronger than dd he won't beat dd with strength...

so how then?
