Wow, an unknown brotherhood. I made a thread with him against Darth Maul and almost no one new who he was. Janus hates him because he's in the NJO so a lot of other people hate him too(follow the leader is a game that never stops).
I just wanted to add something. It doesnt say how many threads you have made anymore.
And something else, Shimrra has a good chance of winning.
I dunno. It's actually a debatable thread. Nice Dipsit "Sir." Few people make those any more. I've actually thought the Vong Overlord was pretty cool, but I never saw a thread with him . . .
Now. Shimrra nearly killed Luke, true. But it was only after the Jedi Master went through eight slayers, only one of which was necessary to give Kyp Durron trouble. So, the false Overlord used his amphistaff to grip Luke in a crushing grasp, while waving around Anakin Solo's lightsaber at the same time.
Luke killed the Overlord because the saber flew to him, and he used both his and Anakin's weapons to behead Shimrra. In a normal, one-on-one duel, Luke would destroy Shimrra, no doubt, albeit with some trouble. The question is, could Yoda? I need some more opinions, to see some more arguments, before I make a decision.
You sounded suspcious when I said I had made Shimrra threads before. They were just unliked. Those are three different links. I also spelled Shimrra wrong in all of them.

Any more opinions on the fight, by the way? So far it's been nothing but positive input - kudos and thanks all around, of course.
I hate the character because I hate the Vong. The very idea behind their creation irks me, as does the fact that they aren't beings operating in the Force and that they have "organic" technology that is apparently superior to or at least on par with nonoragnic technology. That last part in particular is a damn stretch and a thousand, really. Also, they look too much like Tzsmisce from VtM.

Luke defeated Shimrra although it was a pretty hard fight. Since Luke had gone through serveral fights before fighting Shimrra I'd say he might take the Supreme Overlord more easily if this would have been a "normal" duel.
Yoda - for me personaly - is still the number one when it comes to lightsaber combat although some people might be more powerful with the force (including NJO Luke).
Yoda:
- has nearly 900 years of fight training (including duels and normal fights with Mace Windu, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Dooku and Sidious)
- is nearly impossible to hit (because of his fastness and his size)
- was able to avoid lightsaber hits from 3 Jedi (Plo Koon, Deepa Billaba and Saesee Tiin) attacking him at once
Although I believe that Shimrra is quite a good fighter and able to give some people a run for their money, I think Yoda is just too fast, powerful and well trained with a lightsaber to lose that fight. So...Yoda wins.

Well, the third point stems from the second.
But I agree though, the litter bugger would be next to impossible to hit. He's tremendously quick, especially when deploying his form IV, and I don't think Shimrra has demonstrated the speed to keep up.
