Doubt she'd be a hollow, perhaps an Arrancar. Besides, Isshin doesn't seem like the type to hit hollows.
Or Ichigo's just special because he's half-human, half-shinigami. Humans can easily turn into hollows, while it is a great deal harder for Shinigami.

Well, I don't think there's anything that directly contradicts that. But, it points towards Ichigo's mother being a hollow due to the half shinigami half hollow reference about Ichigo.
I don't think masaki was a hollow. I think she was human. I mean hollows are beings that are created from souls that can't pass on. I don't think they would be able to have children. The only ones we know of that can have children and that they are spirits are soul reapers. And at that I assume only the nobles can, seeing as they're the only ones kubo has ever mentioned having offspring.
But who knows really besides kubo?

1. Ichigo was the ONLY person seen and implied to have gotten his hollow/shinigami powers the way that he did (when he got his Shinigami powers back...which is what you're referring to.) The other vizards got their powers in different ways.
2. Ichigo is much stronger than most captains, full power.
3. Ichigo has TWO hollow masks: something not seen with any of the other vizards.
4. Ichigo is the only vizard with a second form hollow/vizard release.

He did not...sort of.
He didn't avea second release vizard form, like ichigo. It is debatable, though, that Ichigo's hollow form is the same or not the same as Tousen's hollow form looking thing.
However, Ichigo is definitely the only one with a second release vizard form...thus far.
I don't think that Ichigo's transformation into a hollow during his vizard training counts as a first release; I think that's what the person was talking about. If Ichigo can get an upgrade on his hollow powers just because he died and was brought back twice, then why wouldn't the other vizards or Tousen be able to do the same.
For all we know, Tousen could have had a pre-hollow transformation just like all the other vizards and then upgrade to a higher level than that.Maybe its the fact that Ichigo may not be able to hit a wall of growth as a shinigami or a hollow at all because he's the only natural occuring vizard shown and didn't once die a human's death, that he peaks Aizen's interests now.

Who actually thinks Yamamoto is dead? I know it seems like it..but it also SEEMED like Kisame died XD...a whole other series but still..In bleach it always seems they survive fatal injuries and death blows usually soo?
And like all tricks aside just in a straight up fight between Aizen and Yamamoto who do you think would have won? I'm thinking Yamamoto has a chance cause I actually noticed Aizen doing a "OH SH*T!" face more than once...That was a first for me XD
