Sadly.

Gin is ****ing leet shit.

Damn, so does this mean that Gin's bankai cannot reach 13 km, nor extend at Mach 500? Or did Gin give much higher figures to Aizen?

That said, Gin proves his Awesomeness once again 313

Pretty much this. Though I too am hoping otherwise.

At least we know Kyoka Suigetsu's Achilles Heel now, but I'm guessing Aizen could have lied about that to Gin.

Well we already knew there were a few ways of avoiding it's power;

1. Closing your eyes/looking away when he first releases it to you.
2. If Kyoka Suigetsu is inside of you (stabbed), you can detect the sword itself.

This just adds a third.

Aizen does appear genuinely surprised at this.

To be fair, closing your eyes and looking away isn't something you should be doing against someone like Aizen, not when you are alone.

Also, this new weakness applies to even those that have already seen the release. The second applies as well, but the new one does not require the sword to be in your gut/body.

Awesome chapter. Gin is even cooler than I thought. He was a double agent for over 110 years. Just astounding.

And his Bankai is certainly broken.

Also, the thing about avoiding Aizen's shikai ability makes perfect sense: Yamamoto avoided it by having it "stabbed" into him. So when the person becomes "one" with the shikai, it becomes nulled. So it makes sense that by holding the blade, you avoid it's powers as well...similar to being stabbed by it, of course.

Edit - BTW, AWESOME chapter. This is why I love Bleach: every 50 chapters, there is a golden chapter that makes it all worth it. (Any fight with Kenpachi, makes it worth it, as well.)

Am I the only one that thought Gin's new bankai is a bunch of BS. Seriously, I'm glad that something actually happened in this chapter but what the heck?! They could've gave Gin a cooler ability that actually dealt with his bankai's name but that's just me.

Agreed, Gin's bankai is definitely more hax now. Even if it can't extend/contract at Mach 500, it still is *extremely* fast. A simple stab-retract is sufficient enough to injure someone, if not just kill them outright. Add his cell-destroying poison to that...

Also, I think there's a small difference between the two. Gin held his sword before the release occurred, which is the only way to avoid its Hypnosis once you have already seen the Initial Release. Whereas I presume Yamamoto was fighting Aizen when Aizen had already released his Shikai. That said, I agree with you.

It's just like Tousen's bankai as well, another Zanpakuto that affects the senses. Likely, any sense-affecting Zanpakuto would have that weakness.

BTW - Gin is more Awesome than Kenpachi. 313

Instead, he gave Gin an ability that coincided with his description of himself, a snake waiting to strike at strong people. Poison.

If Gin does manage to off Aizen, it will coincide with his weapon's name, AND the title of the chapters.

It would seem Ulquiorra's suspicions of Gin's ways back in Hueco Mundo were correct.

I actually anticipated that touching the Shikai should be a way of avoiding it when Yamamoto did it. Because I could see the similarities then between Aizen's Shikai and Tousen's Bankai, both nullify your senses in different ways, and both have a similar weakness.

So he finally went from major foot kisser to major badass. No longer will I degrade this guy for I know he didn't really kill Rangiku.

I wonder if Gin will survive in the next chapter. I suspect Aizen will give him one heck of a fight before the poison takes full effect.

wut?

First of all, Gin was already a badass, second, it's implied Rangiku did die, and third, it looks as if Aizen's getting fubar'd already (Disentegrating)

Infact, Gin only needs to reach out and take the Hogyoku for stuff.

The poison has already taken effect. There's a whole in Aizen's chest, and his left arm is no longer connected.

Unless this is all an illusion, or Aizen reforms somehow, he's dead.

He's Aizen.

In all probability he planned for this a hundred years in advance and is going to pull out his Anti-Gin's Bankai spray to stop the poison while destroying Gin's Zanpakuto.

But if he does die, ****ing YES.

He always looked more like a creepy-servant than a badass imo. You sure he didn't say "I killed her" just to not make Aizen suspicious? Also, Rangiku appears in seasons after the Arrancar arc (which are aired at Japan). Granted they're fillers but still, it kinda says something.

So he just needs to take the Hogyoku away from Aizen and he dies? I think that may prove difficult for Aizen is now fully aware that Gin has the intent to kill him.

I bet the hogyoku will just heal him. I don't see any reason why it wouldn't.
