Ichigo's human, Aizen's powers are sealed away and is now at human level

they will fight their final battle... AS HUMANS!!!

Ichigo should still have his hollow powers.

Just his Shinigami ones dried up. 😄

Yeah if Hichigo didn't fuse with Zangetsu which he did.

i'm just looking forward to a good old fashioned fist fight to the death

or they trap Aizen in a giggai and send him to jail

it would be pretty funny if he ended up in some kind of "jail" and once the new villain appears he assumes the role of like a hannibal lector esque character, where they go to him for help and he screws with them.

They're gonna lock his ass up like they did Mayuri.

That does not function as a counterpoint to what I stated.

That's not, "Lose your Shinigami and Hollow powers", "lose all your powers", or "lose your Shinigami powers and, as a consequence of bonding together, lose your hollow powers."

Ichigo still has his hollow powers.

So, basically you're saying that Ichigo is currently a human, with hollow powers? He can still put his mask on, but he has no zanpakuto.

Possibly, though as Zangetsu and Hichigo had merged prior, it's hard to say for sure.

I enjoyed the chapter. And, yes, I'm with Nemebro: Ichigo had to smack down Aizen in order for the crystal to "diffuse" enough for the Kidou to work. That sounds to be the most likely.

And, yes, I would actually be p*issed me off for once at Kubo if he did not use that reason for Ichigo losing his powers. If he lost it in vain, it's stupid and I'll punch a baby.

Actually it is also possible that Ichigo making Aizen his ***** made the Hogyoku think he is all laem, and stuff, which would enable the Kido to work or something.

Stop trying to convince me that it's good writing! I'm punching babies anyway! 😠

It's not really good writing, and stretches my willing suspension of disbelief or whatever the hell that term is called. Kisuke has reached Aizen levels in planning if that is true, which is to say that he can now bend the fabric of reality with his intellect as long as it suits him.

So Kisuke needs to die?

YES. estahuh

Aizen got really dumb the moment Ichigo showed up. About everything.

Apparently the Hogyoku not only is able to give you great power, it also comes with great stupidity.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought that.

Uhhh...

Aizen already stated that Urahara's intellect surpassed his own...but he also said the Kisuke's intellect was the only one that surpassed his own.

It's not that far of a stretch to assume that Urahara was able to think of a new Kidou that Aizen would not think of in advance. Aizen thought that they had reached they end of "kidou" and other Shinigami arts because of his arrogance and short sightedness.

Also, it's possible that Urahara had been working for the soul king this whole time to find out who the "traitor" was from over 100 years ago. It's possible that Urahara is part of the 0 squad.

That means Kisuke also basically planned for everything that happened in the entire series so it would lead to Ichigo besting Aizen causing the Hogyoku to reject him so that this Kido would work.

Which in breaks willing suspension of disbelief for me.

That doesn't mean that at all.

It could simply mean that Urahara, over the course of 100 years, studying the Hogyoku, thought that it may bond too wholly with a person so he designed a way to un-bond it.

That's rather simple and completely independent of Aizen's shit.

It could also be that during the year time the Aizen took the Hogyoku, Kisuke was thinking of a way to "debond" the crystal from Aizen. Requires no thinking in a manner you suggest.

He would have had to plan for Ichigo to grow to the point where he would be strong enough to make the Hogyoku debond from Aizen, and Ichigo needed all of his laem little experiences to reach that point.
